The location is excellent: just a short walk to the metro station and right in the heart of the city, with plenty of dining options, local markets, and cafes nearby. I appreciated how easy it was to get around without needing a car. Staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with any request. They went the extra mile to ensure my experience was smooth and pleasant. It’s rare to find such a high level of service combined with a peaceful atmosphere and great value. The service was outstanding from start to finish; staff members were polite, attentive, and even checked in after our meal to make sure everything was perfect. That little extra touch made the whole experience feel personal and warm. The hotel’s location is also convenient for exploring nearby attractions, and the overall atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming. Definitely a place I’d return to without hesitation.
Hotel Victoria
The Hotel Victoria in Chennai didn't meet my expectations. The room had a noticeable musty odor, and the air conditioning took nearly an entire night to cool down properly—frustrating for a restful stay. Lighting was extremely dim, making it nearly impossible to read printed material without straining your eyes, not to mention doing makeup; I felt like I was getting ready for Halloween instead! The shower pressure was so weak that it felt more like a mist than a proper bath—definitely not efficient. To make matters worse, there were no toiletries provided, no electric kettle, and very few additional amenities. While the location is decent, the overall experience fell short of what I’d expect at this price point. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Everything about this place felt thoughtfully designed for guest comfort and convenience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Chennai.

I was really pleased to find out about the 24-hour room allocation at Hotel Goutham Manor—no need to rush with check-out times, and the standard 12 PM to 12 PM cycle made everything so convenient. It’s clear they truly care about guest comfort. This place offers an excellent experience for the price, and I’ll definitely be coming back.

Upon arrival, all AC rooms were fully booked, so I was offered a non-AC room temporarily with the promise of a room change later. When I tried to cancel my booking, they asked me to wait for two hours before they could arrange an AC room—this delay was a bit frustrating. I had booked a room with free breakfast, but unfortunately, it wasn’t served at all. The location is solid—easy access to local attractions and public transport. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. If you're planning to stay here, I’d recommend contacting the property at least twice before your trip to confirm what’s included in your booking, especially regarding amenities like breakfast. Overall, the hotel isn’t bad—it's reasonably priced and well-located—but there’s definitely room for improvement in service reliability and communication.

The room was clean, well-kept, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. It truly felt like a second home during our stay. Located just steps away from our meeting venue, it offered unbeatable convenience. The complimentary breakfast was delicious—fresh, tasty, and satisfying. Every detail, from the warm hospitality to the thoughtful touches, made our experience exceptional. We’d definitely choose Udipi Home again on future visits to Egmore. Without a doubt, this is our top pick for accommodation in the area.
