Novotel Wien Hauptbahnhof

Staying at Novotel Wien Hauptbahnhof was an absolute highlight of my trip to Vienna. The location couldn’t be better—just a 15-minute train ride from the airport (around €5.50), and right outside the station, you’ll spot the hotel near a bustling exit lined with food stalls. One of them is a Chinese restaurant that served delicious meals at great value—around €15 per person—and we ended up eating there twice. The hotel itself feels modern and well-maintained. Our room was spacious enough for two adults, and even with a child, the sofa could likely convert into a bed (though we didn’t test it). The bed felt larger than the 1.3m listed online—definitely comfortable for two, and honestly, much better than the Novotel I stayed at in Edinburgh last year, especially considering the price difference. Vienna’s overall cost of living is noticeably lower than in the UK. The bathroom features a smart wet/dry separation, and the vanity surface is generous—plenty of room for both of us to lay out our toiletries. Breakfast was fantastic: a wide variety of fresh fruits, pastries, eggs, yogurt, and coffee. My husband stuck mainly to fruit and yogurt each morning, while I enjoyed croissants, eggs, and a strong espresso. Service was attentive—though there’s no phone in the room, help was always just a floor away at the front desk. There’s a kettle provided, but only two bottles of water were given on arrival, one of which had carbonation—fortunately, tap water is safe to drink. No slippers included, but they’re easy to request at reception, and I actually asked for two extra pairs before checking out since I needed them for my flight. The only downside? I forgot to pack a hairdryer—European hotel ones are often outdated, weak, and take forever to dry hair. That said, this minor oversight didn’t ruin the experience. Overall, a top-tier stay with excellent value, convenience, and comfort. I’d absolutely recommend it—and return again.

Jimmy's Apartments Dandelion

Staying at Jimmy's Apartments Dandelion was a fantastic experience. The apartment is spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed—ironing board, clothes dryer, iron, microwave, stovetop, kitchenware, coffee machine with capsules, and even a dishwasher. The shared laundry area has both washing and drying machines, which made our stay super convenient. Located just a short tram ride from the city center, getting around was effortless—straight line access without any transfers. There are also several supermarkets nearby where we could grab breakfast supplies in minutes. Everything was well-maintained, and the location offers great value for money. We were thoroughly satisfied and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Vienna.

Jimmy's Apartments Lory

The location is a bit off the beaten path, but it's incredibly convenient for getting from the airport—just a 10-minute walk to either the subway or train station. That made my travel stress-free, especially with luggage. The area around the property is lively and well-connected, with supermarkets, restaurants, and cafes right at the metro entrance. I really appreciated the self-service luggage storage—it’s perfect for early check-ins or late departures. One small hiccup: accessing the apartment requires a four-digit code, which wasn’t shared upfront. My friend and I ended up standing awkwardly at the door trying to figure it out until we finally contacted the host. A little communication gap there, but nothing major. Inside, the apartment was well-equipped with a fridge, microwave, and induction cooker—great for cooking simple meals without leaving the unit. Everything was clean, quiet, and comfortable, making it ideal for a restful stay. The all-inclusive self-check-in setup works well if you’re used to independent travel. Overall, this place offers excellent value for money and a peaceful atmosphere. If only the access code could be sent in advance, it would be flawless. Definitely recommend for solo travelers or couples looking for a hassle-free, no-frills stay.

Jimmy's Apartments Emerald

I recently stayed at Jimmy's Emerald Apartments in Vienna and was genuinely impressed by the entire experience. The apartment was spotless, stylishly modern, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay—especially the fully functional kitchen, which made cooking a few meals during my longer visit a real plus. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better: just a short walk from public transit and surrounded by shops, cafes, and restaurants, making exploring the city effortless. One thing to note is that there’s no on-site reception, so check-in arrangements must be completed in advance. While this requires a bit of planning, it didn’t impact my trip negatively. Overall, the combination of cleanliness, convenience, and thoughtful amenities makes this a standout choice for travelers looking for a home-away-from-home vibe in Vienna.

The hotel itself is spotless and well-maintained, with clean rooms, comfortable beds, and modern amenities. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Apartment Barichgasse

The location is convenient for getting around Vienna, and the apartment is well situated near public transit. However, during our stay, we encountered a few issues that affected our experience. There was a noticeable infestation of small ants in the kitchen—whenever we started using the space, they would quickly appear, which was quite unsettling. Additionally, nighttime was disrupted by a continuous dragging sound coming from a locked technical room nearby, along with occasional noises from adjacent utility areas. While the price was reasonable and the layout functional, the lack of quietness and hygiene concerns make it hard to recommend. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option and can overlook these details, it might still work—but for a peaceful stay, it's better to look elsewhere.

A few blocks further, you can catch Tram 71 and other lines heading straight into the city center and major attractions. Whether you're here for culture, history, or convenience, this place delivers on every level. Perfect for travelers who want comfort, cleanliness, and easy access—all at once.

GoVienna Small Modern Apartment

Perfect location—just a short subway ride from the city center, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Vienna. The apartment is modern, well-equipped, and very comfortable. The only minor improvement would be adding a door or curtain in the shower area to prevent water from splashing onto the bathroom floor during use. Overall, this place offers excellent value and a fantastic stay—I’d definitely book again.

Rioca Vienna Posto 2

Staying here for six consecutive nights was an absolute delight. The location is fantastic—most of Vienna’s top attractions are within a 30-minute ride on the bus or subway, and with a weekly transit pass, exploring the city became so easy and stress-free. The room was much larger than expected for a hotel of this category, and the small kitchenette was perfect for preparing quick meals—great for saving money and enjoying some comfort food. I especially loved the Bluetooth speaker and the adorable bedside lighting that added a cozy vibe to the space. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the free coffee available in the lobby was a nice touch. There are three supermarkets nearby, plus a bakery right next door—perfect for grabbing fresh bread and morning treats. Everything you need for a comfortable, convenient stay is just steps away. This place offers outstanding value for money. I’d definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vienna.

Citadines South Vienna

Staying at Citadines South Vienna was a great experience overall. It's just a 15-minute tram ride from the city center and major attractions, making it super convenient for exploring Vienna. Right across the street is a Li Dourou supermarket—perfect for grabbing essentials without having to go far. The family suite was spacious and comfortable, ideal for a multi-generational trip. A bus ride of about 20 minutes takes you straight to Schönbrunn Palace, so access to top sights is hassle-free. That said, the neighborhood isn’t one of the more affluent areas—some streets are a bit worn down, and there’s a strip club nearby if you walk a short distance. I’d suggest caution for solo female travelers. Rooms facing the street do pick up some tram noise, but it’s manageable with closed windows. Still, I’m a big fan of the Citadines brand—consistent quality, good value, and reliable service. For families looking for comfort and affordability in a central yet quiet spot, this is an excellent choice. I’d definitely stay here again.
