That said, the bathroom and shower area are quite compact, and privacy is limited, which might be an issue for some travelers. Still, considering the great value and prime location near the beach, it’s a solid choice for a relaxing getaway. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and we’d definitely consider staying here again.

Our first night was definitely disappointing—the room was small and lacked proper airflow due to its location, making it uncomfortably hot. However, we were truly blessed with an incredible staff member named Mbali, who stepped in and kindly arranged a better room with a balcony. This made all the difference! We were able to stay for the remainder of our booking and even celebrated my husband’s birthday on Sunday—exactly why we booked this trip in the first place. Her kindness turned a stressful start into a memorable experience. The hotel’s overall charm, combined with such exceptional service, makes it worth recommending. I’m already considering returning.

This visit was truly disappointing. I’ve been coming to this hotel for years and always enjoyed the excellent food and service, but this recent experience was a complete letdown. The bar staff were arrogant and completely dismissive, taking ages to serve even simple drinks with no courtesy. Management seemed indifferent—no apology, no effort to resolve issues. It felt like the place had gone downhill fast. I can’t imagine returning or recommending it to anyone. This is not the Britannia Hotel I once knew. A real shame.
