I first discovered this gem on Xiaohongshu and ended up booking through the platform for a 3-night stay—so glad I did! The Heritage Wing Suite offered incredible perks: three restaurants—Palm Court (Heritage Wing), Planters Lounge, and Sarkies—perfectly matched to my breakfast needs over three days. I also enjoyed unlimited access to both the Victory Wing and Heritage Wing infinity pools. Afternoon tea was complimentary from 12–6 PM, followed by cocktail hour from 6–7 PM—such a lovely touch. The in-room mini-fridge was fully stocked with 10 free drinks daily, plus one bottle of wine. Housekeeping came twice daily—morning and afternoon—for a consistently clean space. The only minor issue was a slight musty smell upon arrival, but it disappeared within a few days. With so many stunning photo spots—definitely more than 20—I couldn’t stop taking pictures. This hotel is a true visual delight and an absolute highlight of my trip.

Staying at Ascott Gurney Penang was an absolutely excellent experience. The room was spacious and well-designed, with smart layout that separated sleeping and living areas—perfect for comfort and privacy. Housekeeping was outstanding; every day, the room was thoroughly cleaned and refreshed with attention to detail, from fresh linens to spotless bathrooms. The location is quiet and peaceful, yet just a short walk from great dining options and easy access to public transport. Some rooms even offer lovely sea views—waking up to that view in the morning made the whole trip feel special. I especially want to thank Angel One from the front desk team—her warm hospitality and professionalism made a big difference. The entire staff were attentive and helpful throughout my stay. It’s clear this property values guest satisfaction, and I’ll definitely be returning.

Staying at The George Penang was an absolute delight. The location is unbeatable—just steps away from some of George Town’s most popular eateries, and everything is easily accessible on foot or by public transit. I booked a triple room, and while the room faces the street—which means traffic noise and early morning prayer announcements can be loud—I’d still highly recommend it. The pros far outweigh the minor cons. The tap water is safe to drink straight from the faucet, which is rare and impressive. The bathroom is spacious with a lovely bathtub, and the minibar even came with two complimentary drinks—such a nice touch! The staff, including the Chinese-speaking team, were friendly, helpful, and made me feel right at home. Even though there’s some street noise, it’s a small price to pay for such a well-located, stylish, and thoughtfully designed stay. A truly memorable experience—definitely worth returning.

Staying at Macalister Mansion was an absolute delight from start to finish. The building itself exudes history and character, with elegant design details that reflect its heritage while still feeling fresh and modern. My room was spacious, beautifully furnished, and incredibly comfortable—the bed was perfect for a restful night’s sleep. What truly stood out? The Aesop amenities throughout the room—luxurious, thoughtfully curated, and so satisfying to use. Plus, the minibar was completely free, which was such a pleasant surprise. No extra costs, no stress—just pure comfort and convenience. This place feels like a hidden gem, offering both style and substance. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting George Town.

Staying at Jen Penang Georgetown by Shangri-La was an absolute delight, especially because of the unbeatable location. Just a short walk away from Mui Fong Teahouse—perfect for breakfast or lunch—and only steps from the vibrant Siam Street Night Market, which comes alive in the evenings. Even the city hall is just a 24-minute stroll away, making it easy to explore without relying on transportation. Staying at The Granite Luxury Hotel Penang was an absolute delight. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to major attractions and local favorites. I especially loved how clean and spacious the rooms were, with a modern touch that made the stay feel luxurious without being overpriced. The staff went above and beyond: friendly, helpful, and always ready to answer questions or assist with recommendations. I appreciated their genuine hospitality. The fitness center and pool area are top-notch—even if you're not swimming, the pool deck is perfect for relaxing with a drink in hand. The pool attendant was particularly welcoming, offering refreshments with a smile. Just a 5-8 minute stroll from the hotel brings you to the famous 888 Hokkien Mee, which is absolutely worth a visit. For sightseeing, hopping on a trishaw to Sungai Pijer Bridge takes less than 10 minutes by car, or you can walk there in about 15 minutes—perfect for exploring the city’s charm. Everything is so convenient, and the value for money is outstanding. This isn’t just a hotel—it’s a great base for discovering George Town. I’ll definitely be back.

The room was compact but spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and surprisingly comfortable. All the amenities were in good working order, making our stay highly enjoyable. We arrived early—well before check-in time—and were pleasantly surprised to be checked in right away. The front desk even handed us chilled juice as a welcome gesture, which added a lovely touch. Located just minutes from the city center, it’s super convenient for exploring George Town via public transit. The local durian is an absolute must-try—rich, creamy, and unforgettable. This hotel offers great value and experience, and I’d definitely return.

It’s been years since our last visit to Penang, and this was our first time staying at Berjaya Penang Hotel—truly a delightful surprise. We were on the 24th floor, and the room was spacious with an incredible view of George Town that made every moment feel special. The space felt open and well-designed, and everything was spotlessly clean, from the shower to the bathroom. The morning breakfast was satisfying—not overly extravagant, but with a good variety of items that hit the mark for a solid start to the day. Overall, the experience exceeded our expectations. From the comfort to the location, it’s clear this hotel offers excellent value. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Penang.

Staying at Campbell House in George Town was an absolute highlight of my trip to Malaysia. This historic property, nestled in the heart of the city, offers unbeatable convenience—walking distance to street food stalls, local markets, and all the vibrant energy of George Town. The interior design is stunning with rich dark tones that give it a timeless, elegant charm. Though there's no elevator (luggage is carried up by staff), the team handles everything with warmth and professionalism—especially impressive since the entire staff communicates fluently in English. The room itself was spotless, with a bright and spacious bathroom that had excellent water pressure. I loved the little touches: welcome cardamom tea upon arrival, a thoughtful bedtime service, and even a delicious tiramisu as a sweet surprise. It’s clear this place values both heritage and guest comfort. If you're looking for an authentic, character-filled stay in George Town with exceptional hospitality, this is the one. I’ll definitely be back.

The service at the front desk was excellent, especially from Mr. Sri—friendly, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. The hotel’s location is fantastic; Chulia Street, where most of the local pubs and street food spots are, is just a short walk away. It’s a great base for exploring the vibrant night scene in George Town. One small note: the parking entrance can be tricky to spot—it’s tucked under a shop house pillar with a large 'Honda' sign on the side wall, so keep an eye out. I highly recommend walking over to Red Garden Food Court. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is lively, and there’s often live music or performances going on—perfect for a relaxed evening out. Overall, this stay was top-notch, and the little details like the helpful staff and easy access to local gems really make it stand out.

Even without photos, I have to say the atmosphere here is incredibly warm and cozy. The lobby features comfortable seating areas with complimentary coffee, tea, and cookies—perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. The room itself is thoughtfully designed with a homely feel, offering well-maintained amenities and attention to every little detail. Everything from the lighting to the layout makes you feel at ease. It's an ideal spot whether you're here for business or leisure. Super convenient location too, just steps away from great cafes, shops, and local gems. Highly recommend staying here if you're visiting George Town!
