Staying at Domina St. Petersburg Hotel was a delightful surprise! The exterior is modest, but the interior space is surprisingly spacious and well-designed. One thing to note: the double bed is actually two twin beds pushed together, so there’s a noticeable dip in the middle that can be uncomfortable if you move during the night. The story behind this guest house is just as charming: the current owner, Александр, bought the building from a businessman and transformed it into a cozy retreat during his time working as a journalist in Europe. The whole place is gently scented with elderflower—a subtle, calming fragrance that lingers in the air. The common areas are beautifully designed with soft sofas and warm lighting, making it feel instantly like home. Rooms were spotless, staff were polite and attentive, and every interaction felt genuine. If we ever return to St. Petersburg, this will be our first choice again—next time, I’m definitely booking the top-floor room. Rumor has it you can see the church domes from up there, and that view alone would make the stay unforgettable.
