There’s also private parking on-site, which is a huge plus for those traveling by car. We were pleasantly surprised by the included dinner — such a convenient and welcoming gesture. On our first visit, we checked in late at night, and the staff kindly packed a takeaway dinner for us at checkout the next morning. Whether you're heading to iconic spots like Nevsky Prospekt or hunting for local eats, everything is within reach. The room itself was compact but well-designed — clean, cozy, and thoughtfully laid out. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the free Wi-Fi stayed strong throughout my trip. The bathroom was spotless, and the toiletries were high quality, which made me feel truly cared for. I especially enjoyed dining at Sud & Cie restaurant — their Mediterranean-inspired dishes were fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. In the evenings, I’d unwind at RendezVous bar with a drink; the ambiance was relaxed and welcoming. Staff were friendly, efficient, and always ready to help — check-in and check-out were smooth and quick. This hotel offers great value, excellent service, and a prime location. Sonata on Nevsky 5 Palace Square
The location is absolutely fantastic—just a 2-3 minute walk to the Hermitage Museum, and other major attractions are easily reachable with just a short bus ride. Getting to the railway station for Lake Ladoga or other destinations is also very convenient. It’s only about an 8-9 minute walk to the famous Bookstore, and there are fast food options like Burger King and McDonald’s nearby. There’s even a gift shop right on the ground floor. The only downside was that the photos provided by the platform were misleading—I thought I had to enter through the main entrance, but it’s actually a smaller side entrance. Once inside, the elevator makes getting to the 4th-floor front desk easy. One tip: if you’re tall, the loft-standard room might feel cramped. Upgrading to a regular flat-ceiling room is definitely worth it for more space and comfort. Overall, this place offers excellent value and a great stay in St. Petersburg.
