I couldn't be happier with my stay at Rainbow City Inn! The location is absolutely perfect—right next to the Yau Ma Tei MTR Station exit A1, and the Airport Express bus A21 stops just a stone's throw away. I loved how walkable everything was: fresh fruit markets, Po Lam Street, and Ladies Market were all within easy reach. The staff, especially Miss Jie and Miss Lian, were incredibly warm and helpful—always smiling, ready to assist with anything. They even changed the bed sheets during my stay and provided fresh toiletries, which showed great attention to detail. Despite its compact size, the room felt clean, cozy, and well-organized. It’s a fantastic little gem for travelers who want an authentic Hong Kong experience without the hassle. Highly recommend this hidden treasure!

Fortunate Guest House
This was hands down the worst booking experience I've ever had. I booked a triple room for two adults and two children, but the host refused check-in, claiming that bookings made through the platform were counted as single guests, and demanded an extra $1,000 to cover the 'difference'. The room was priced at $1,230 during the holiday period—way above the normal rate of $200–$300. After hours of back-and-forth arguing with no resolution, I ended up leaving without checking in and had to rush back across the border late at night. The platform response was painfully slow, and the staff showed zero willingness to compromise or explain. The property itself is extremely cramped, resembling a dormitory more than a guest house. Overcrowded rooms filled with international guests, particularly from India and Africa, raised serious concerns about cleanliness and personal safety. It felt unsafe and unhygienic. I strongly advise others to avoid this place—this was not just disappointing, it was outright unacceptable.

Staying at Ocean Inn for two nights was an absolute delight. Right next to Jordan MTR Station, getting around Hong Kong is incredibly convenient—just a short walk to everywhere. The area is packed with dining options, and we managed to try different restaurants each night without repeating anything. I was initially worried about the 0.8-meter bed being too small, but the host kindly arranged a large and a small bed together—such a pleasant surprise! All rooms have windows that open fully, which makes the space feel fresh and airy. The bathroom is compact but well-designed, with all essentials and spotless cleanliness throughout. For the price, location, and overall comfort, this is one of the best values in Central Kowloon. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to travelers looking for a cozy, well-located, and clean home-away-from-home.
