That meant easy access to everything from souvenirs to snacks without having to travel far, which was a huge plus with kids in tow. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special—especially the little touches for the children. It's a fantastic balance of luxury, convenience, and family-friendly service. Definitely worth returning to.

However, I’d like to share a quick tip: if you're planning to spend most of your time out exploring or on day trips, the all-inclusive package might not be the best value. We stayed for five nights and went on guided tours for three days, often leaving at 7 a.m. and returning as late as 8 p.m., so we barely had time to enjoy the meals included in our package. That’s roughly $400 per person per day going to waste! In reality, dining out for two people costs around $100 at local restaurants or even at the hotel’s à la carte options. If your itinerary is packed with excursions, you might save money by opting for pay-per-meal dining instead. Just something to consider before booking!

Hotel Handall is perfectly located in the heart of Cancún, just a block away from Chedraui, pharmacies, restaurants, and a bus stop heading straight to the hotel zone. The hotel’s café serves delicious food at very affordable prices, though it closes at 5 PM—luckily there’s a 24-hour convenience store right outside for late-night needs. The place feels quiet and mostly empty, which actually worked in our favor—we stayed 8 days and had the small pool all to ourselves for 5 of them. That kind of privacy is rare and appreciated. The rooms are spotless and well-maintained, but the front desk staff were quite serious and not very welcoming. Still, if you’re looking for a clean, low-key stay with easy access to everything, this hotel delivers great value without the touristy crowds.
