I can't say enough good things about this hostel — I ended up extending my stay by a full day, and honestly wished I could have stayed even longer. The vibe here is absolutely infectious. I met some of the most amazing people from Australia, the UK, Mexico, Brazil, and even another American, all sharing stories and adventures during group tours like the Beverly Hills walking tour and the hike to the Hollywood sign. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help. The common areas upstairs and outside are super chill — perfect for hanging out or just relaxing after a long day. Lockers are a must-have, and you can grab one for just $5, which gives peace of mind. The dorms were spotless, the bed was cozy and came with a built-in phone charging shelf and a reading light — little touches that make a big difference. Bathrooms were clean and well-maintained, and the breakfast (toast, bagels, pancakes, fruit, coffee, juice) was simple but delicious and a great way to start each morning. The location couldn’t be better — right between Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards, within easy reach of the Griffith Observatory, the Walk of Fame, and so much more. There’s a bit of street noise in the early morning and late night, and the towels are on the smaller side, but honestly, those are minor issues. Everyone I spoke to had the same glowing feedback, and I’m so glad I chose this place. USA Hostels Hollywood, you guys truly rock!

The room was filthy, dusty, and clearly hadn’t been properly maintained. No energy, no hospitality, just an eerie silence. I left immediately without checking in. Honestly, it’s not just disappointing—it’s a complete waste of time and money. I’ve stayed in many hostels around the world, but this one stands out for all the wrong reasons. Would never recommend or come back.

Just a 20-minute walk to the 7th Street Metro station—where all lines converge—making it easy to reach Hollywood, Santa Monica, or LAX without hassle. The lobby is on the second floor, secured with keycard access to both the building and elevator, which gives peace of mind. The front area is cozy and welcoming, offering free coffee (from a bean machine), hot tea, chocolate, and hot water 24/7. Each guest gets a generous pastry—think big croissants, chocolate rolls, or banana cake—perfect for a morning pick-me-up. I loved that coffee and tea were always available, no matter the time of day. The room itself was spacious and well-designed: full-size bed, flat-screen TV, desk for work, mini-fridge, AC/heat, and fast Wi-Fi. There's even a safe and a hairdryer. If you need an iron, just ask at reception—they’re happy to help. The bathroom is huge with a spacious shower and quality toiletries. Everything felt fresh and modern. Honestly, if I’m ever back in LA, this will be my top choice. A standout stay!
