Rygerfjord Hotel & Hostel

Staying at Rygerfjord Hotel & Hostel was an absolute delight. The room was cozy, clean, and surprisingly spacious for the price—especially given how close it is to Stockholm’s city center. Public transport access is excellent, making it super easy to explore the city without needing a car. I opted for the breakfast add-on, and it was one of the best parts of my trip—fresh, delicious, and with a great variety of options. The only small downside is the lack of a shared kitchen, but honestly, there are plenty of excellent restaurants nearby, so it’s not a real issue. Overall, this place offers incredible value, comfort, and a welcoming atmosphere. If you're looking for a budget-friendly yet comfortable base in Stockholm, this is definitely worth considering.

ApartDirect Gröndal

The apartment was very nice and well-equipped with all the essentials. The location is decent—while not in the city center, it's easily accessible by metro to major attractions. Check-in went smoothly, and communication with the staff was clear and hassle-free. The only downside was the quiet hours from 10 PM to 10 AM, which felt disrupted by the cleaning crew starting vacuuming the hallway precisely at 9:30 AM. I was actually woken up suddenly and confused by the noise—felt a bit jarring, especially if you're a light sleeper. That said, overall the stay was pleasant, and the value for money is solid. Great for travelers who prioritize comfort and convenience over being right in the heart of the city.

City Hotel Söder

I stayed in the budget room without a window, which isn’t ideal for those who feel uneasy in enclosed spaces—but otherwise, this place is definitely a great value for money. It’s super convenient, just a short walk from the city center and literally steps away from the metro station, making it easy to explore Stockholm without hassle. The hotel was clean throughout, and the front desk staff were genuinely helpful and friendly—offering useful tips that made my trip smoother. Despite the lack of natural light in the room, everything else worked well: comfortable bed, good Wi-Fi, and quiet surroundings. I’d absolutely stay here again, especially if I’m looking for a no-frills, practical base while visiting the city.

Staying at STF Zinkensdamm Hostel was an absolute highlight of my trip to Stockholm. Nestled right in the heart of Tantolunden Park, the hostel offers a peaceful retreat with lush greenery all around. The place is spotlessly clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. What really stands out is the on-site bar and restaurant—perfect for a relaxing drink or a hearty meal after a day of exploring. Plus, it’s conveniently located between two metro stations, making it super easy to get around the city. I was a bit unsure at first since the bathroom and shower were shared, but I ended up staying for three nights and never had any issues—there were plenty of facilities available, so no waiting or inconvenience. The room itself was stylish and well-designed, and given the prime location in Stockholm, it’s incredibly affordable. The front desk staff was absolutely wonderful—super friendly and attentive. STF Långholmen Hostel Corridor

Staying at this former prison turned hostel was an unforgettable experience. The place has been thoughtfully transformed into a cozy, clean, and well-maintained space with attention to every little detail. Located on a quiet and scenic island in Stockholm, it’s just a 10-minute walk from the red line tunnelbana station—perfect for getting around the city without hassle. The rooms, designed like prison cells, are surprisingly comfortable and well-organized despite their unique layout. While towels and linens are available for rent (around €10), they’re clean and in good condition. What really stands out is the unbeatable value for money in such an expensive city. The atmosphere is calm, charming, and full of character. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Stockholm—it’s not just a hostel, it’s a destination in itself.

Loginn Hotel

Loginn Hotel in Stockholm truly delivers a five-star experience. Located just about an hour and ten minutes from the city center via public transit, it's incredibly convenient for travelers looking to explore the heart of Sweden’s capital. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out—staff were genuinely warm, attentive, and always ready to help without hesitation. Housekeeping, front desk, and bar team all performed at a top level, and they truly appreciate tips. We didn’t tip everyone (it’s just not feasible), but for waiters we saw regularly, we gave around 100 Turkish Lira (~€5), which was met with genuine gratitude. The hotel accepts Turkish Lira, Euros, and USD, making payments easy for international guests. What really sets this place apart is the animation team. They’re absolutely outstanding—the kids’ club staff keep the little ones busy all day, with nightly disco sessions from 8:30 to 9 PM. While our two young ones (aged 6 and 2) weren’t interested in joining the club, we attended the disco every night and had a blast. There’s a full daily schedule of activities—gym classes by the pool twice a day, darts, dancing, water polo, basketball, pilates, table tennis—you name it. After a fun-filled day, grab a daiquiri from a waiter on roller skates and just relax under the sun. Evening entertainment is first-rate. The Michael Jackson tribute show on Mondays is hands-down the highlight—brilliant choreography and energy, even if you’re not a fan, you’ll be impressed. After the main performance, dancers come down to the dance floor to take photos and join the party—pure magic. Food quality? Exceptional. This might be the best buffet experience we’ve ever had. Plenty of options at every meal, including excellent choices for toddlers—we’d never seen such variety tailored for young eaters. Three-course meals served daily, and the service team is consistently superb. There are four à la carte restaurants that are easy to book through the hotel app (though availability may tighten later in the season). Drinks are fantastic, with premium brands included. Cocktails are well-made and customizable to your taste. Two poolside cafés serve some of the best pizzas, kebabs, and burgers we’ve had anywhere. The property itself is impeccably maintained—buildings and gardens look stunning, and there’s even a quiet pier for those seeking peace. However, we stayed mostly by the kids’ mini-pool (about one foot deep) and slides, where they played nonstop. Our one-bedroom suite was perfect for our family of four, with a sea view and naturally cool room thanks to minimal direct sunlight—so we barely left the room! The bathroom is spacious and beautiful, with a powerful shower. Only minor note: the beds were very firm—no sleepless nights, but definitely not soft. Also, nearby hotels sometimes host loud parties on Wednesday nights (ending at midnight), so packing earplugs is a smart move. Our kids didn’t seem bothered at all, and it wasn’t a dealbreaker. A 10-minute walk leads to Kemer town center, packed with shops, dining spots, a charming marina, and a lovely park. We visited a few times and found some great “genuine fake” clothing and perfumes—typical of this type of resort area, but still fun to browse. Overall, a memorable stay with amazing value, incredible hospitality, and unforgettable moments for the whole family.
