The hotel is clean and well-maintained, with a convenient location just a short walk from public transit, making it easy to explore Cape Town. However, I did notice that prices were significantly higher during a major event happening at the time—definitely not budget-friendly. That said, if you're visiting outside of peak event periods, this hotel offers great value for its location and comfort. Staying at Lagoon Beach Hotel Apartments was a delightful surprise. A few outlets in our unit weren’t working, but the staff responded quickly and arranged a room swap with no hassle—really impressed by their hospitality. One thing to note: they don’t provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, or disposable slippers, so it’s best to bring your own essentials. Breakfast has improved this year—still not quite catering to my Chinese palate, but at least there’s more variety than last year. Overall, the location is fantastic, close to the beach and just a short ride into Cape Town city center. With its unbeatable views and great value, I’d definitely recommend this place and plan to return soon.

Our group's stay at Savoy Lodge was easily the best hotel experience we've had in South Africa. The villa matched exactly what was described on the platform: clean, well-maintained, and full of character. Each room was comfortable, and the daily breakfast was fresh and satisfying. What really stood out was the variety of shared spaces—perfect for relaxing, chatting, or just unwinding after a busy day. The location in Mowbray was ideal: close to downtown, shopping areas, restaurants, and even within reach of townships where our group participated in meaningful cultural experiences. We felt safe throughout our stay, which was a big plus. Elias and his wife went above and beyond by offering thoughtful recommendations for local dining and activities. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality and attention to detail.
