What really stood out was the location: the subway station is just a 10-minute walk from the 9/11 Memorial, making access to downtown Manhattan effortless. My flight back was late at night, so I was glad they offered luggage storage after check-in, though there’s an extra fee if you arrive after 7 PM—just plan ahead. The in-room TV had access to YouTube and Netflix, which was a nice bonus for relaxing after a long day. Storage space was well thought out too—the closet and drawers were spacious and convenient. One highlight was Big Wong just steps away from the hotel; it opens early in the morning and serves delicious, affordable meals—definitely worth a visit.

I stayed for two nights to attend concerts at the Fimore, and Hotel 17 was the perfect base. What really stood out was the price—way more affordable than other hotels in the area, without compromising on comfort. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, making check-in and any requests a breeze. I’m genuinely sad to hear it’s closed now. If it were still open, I’d definitely come back. For a no-frills, practical stay with a great location and excellent value, this place is hard to beat.
