FabHotel Aayash - Nr City Center Metro Station
This is hands down the dirtiest, most unhygienic hotel I've ever stayed in during my 32 years of traveling. The photos online are completely misleading—what you see in pictures bears no resemblance to reality. The rooms were filthy, with torn mattresses and stained bed sheets. Empty cans and bottles were scattered all over the hallways, and the overall cleanliness was shocking. The staff seemed indifferent and unresponsive, showing no concern for guests or basic hygiene standards. This place poses serious safety and health risks and should be shut down immediately. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a decent, clean stay.
FabHotel Luxor - Nr Acropolis Mall
The hotel's location is definitely its strongest point—perfect for travelers heading to the VFS office for visa applications. It’s just a 2-minute walk away, and the nearby Acropolis Mall adds to the convenience. Even though it’s tucked in a quiet residential area, getting around the city is easy thanks to excellent connectivity. The staff are friendly and helpful, making check-in and daily interactions pleasant. That said, cleanliness is a real concern. Basic hygiene standards could be much better—the overall upkeep of the property feels neglected, especially in areas like the staircase, which look worn and outdated. Breakfast is available for an extra fee, but the menu is extremely limited and not particularly appealing. Still, considering the price point, it’s fair to say you should keep your expectations realistic. If you’re on a tight budget and prioritize location over luxury, this place might still work for you. Just don’t expect anything fancy.

The hotel's location is excellent—very convenient for getting around Kolkata, with easy access to public transit and nearby attractions. The staff were friendly and professional, and check-in and check-out were quick and smooth. Breakfast was decent but could definitely be improved in both flavor and portion size. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay, and I’d definitely consider returning if I’m ever back in the city.

This place exceeded all my expectations! Located just a short walk from the city center, it’s incredibly convenient for exploring Kolkata. The room was modern, clean, and beautifully designed—especially the bed, which made for an amazing night’s sleep. The staff were welcoming and helpful, even arranging a reservation at a local favorite restaurant for me. What really stood out was the value for money—luxury vibes without the luxury price tag. If you’re visiting Kolkata, this is definitely a top pick. 10/10 would stay again!
The Stadel
I was really impressed with my stay at The Stadel overall—everything exceeded my expectations. The only minor quirk was the pool schedule, which runs until 9:00 PM and then reopens at 6:00 PM, leaving a gap in between—slightly confusing but not a dealbreaker. Also, towels in the pool area are charged, which I found a bit surprising, though it’s a small thing. That said, these didn’t detract from the excellent experience at all. The staff truly made the difference—special thanks to the front desk team, especially Sony, the bar staff at the Egyptian Bar, the manager, and the restaurant waitstaff. Everyone was warm, professional, and attentive. The ambiance is elegant, the location is convenient, and the value for money is outstanding. I’ll definitely recommend this hotel to friends and colleagues—and I’m already planning to come back myself.

My stay at Hotel Hiland in Kolkata was extremely disappointing. The morning front desk manager was incredibly rude when I tried to pay with a credit card—he outright refused and told me to use cash or Google Pay, with no explanation or courtesy. That alone set a negative tone. The food was terrible—after eating, I suffered from severe diarrhea, which clearly indicates poor hygiene standards. Room service was equally awful; I ordered items multiple times but never received them on time, if at all. The overall experience was far below what you’d expect for the price, especially since there are better options available at the same rate. If you’re considering this hotel, take a moment to check the manager’s photo—his attitude is a red flag. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you have no other choice.

My stay at Falcon Guest House was absolutely delightful. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Biplab and Pradeep were incredibly helpful throughout my visit—whether it was giving local tips, assisting with transportation, or just offering a friendly smile. The room was clean, cozy, and well-maintained, and the location is perfect for exploring Kolkata on foot or by metro. I especially appreciated how responsive and supportive they were, making my trip stress-free. The value for money is outstanding, and the warm hospitality truly made a difference. I’d definitely recommend this hidden gem to anyone visiting the city.
Lbd Resorts & Hotels Kolkata
My stay at LBD Resorts & Hotels in Kolkata wasn’t quite up to expectations. The room had a strong, unpleasant odor—almost like an old storage space—and both the blanket and one of the pillows carried the same smell, which was quite off-putting. The bed frame looked dirty, and there was visible grime on the floor, making me question the overall cleanliness. The air conditioning was unreliable—it would turn on and off randomly, barely providing any consistent cooling. It was frustrating, especially during the warmer hours. On a brighter note, the breakfast was decent, with fresh fruits that added a nice touch. While this was the only positive highlight, it wasn’t enough to offset the other issues. I’d hesitate to recommend this property unless major improvements are made in hygiene and maintenance.
Treebo Royal Orbit, Metropoliton
The room was extremely small, even for a couple—there wasn’t enough space to walk around comfortably. The service was disappointing, slow, and lacked attention to detail. Noise throughout the night made it hard to sleep peacefully. While the bed was actually quite comfortable, the bathroom had a noticeable leak, which was frustrating. Water provided was only RO-filtered water in open, unsealed bottles—no mineral water or sealed options available, which made me hesitant to drink it. Overall, the experience didn’t meet expectations. Despite a decent bed, the cramped space, poor service, constant noise, and hygiene concerns make this a tough recommendation. Not worth staying unless you're on a very tight budget.

The hotel is brand new, spotlessly clean, and offers excellent Wi-Fi connectivity with quiet air conditioning that doesn’t disturb your rest. The bed was incredibly comfortable—perfect for a good night’s sleep. Located in the heart of New Kolkata, the neighborhood is peaceful, safe, and welcoming, making it ideal for both business and leisure travelers. Everything about this place felt fresh and well thought out. I’ve already planned to come back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, modern retreat in Kolkata.

My stay at Kollolini Kolkata was far from satisfactory, especially considering the poor attitude displayed by the management.
