Hotel Imperial, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Vienna

Absolutely perfect — there's no better way to describe this stay. The room is a bit compact, but incredibly well-designed and elegant, with a lovely view of the street life outside. The restaurant exceeded all expectations — every meal was exceptional, and the daily complimentary chocolates from the hotel were a delightful touch, especially given Vienna's world-famous chocolate heritage. Staff were consistently courteous, attentive, and genuinely warm, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The hotel itself feels like a true palace, with stunning architecture and timeless charm. Walking distance to the opera house made attending a performance effortless — after watching a Mozart show, returning to unwind with a glass of Krug and a chat with the bartender was pure luxury. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s an experience. I’d come back in a heartbeat.

Staying at the InterContinental Wien was an absolute delight from start to finish. The hotel facilities are top-notch—modern, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. Cleanliness was outstanding—every surface, especially the bathroom, felt spotless and fresh. The surrounding environment is elegant and peaceful, yet just a short walk or quick subway ride away from Vienna’s main attractions. The staff went above and beyond—friendly, professional, and always ready to help. From check-in to checkout, every interaction was warm and seamless. And the breakfast? Simply fantastic. A wide variety of high-quality options: freshly baked pastries, local cured meats, creamy cheeses, seasonal fruits, juices, and more—all served with care. It felt like a true celebration of Austrian hospitality. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vienna. A perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and convenience.

Staying at SO/ Vienna was an exceptional experience overall. The room was spacious, immaculately clean, and the bedding was incredibly soft—perfect for a restful night’s sleep. The view from the window was stunning, offering panoramic sights of the city skyline that made every morning feel special. While the 4141 hotline was unreachable during evening hours, which was a minor inconvenience, everything else about the hotel exceeded expectations. From the elegant design to the thoughtful touches throughout the property, this place truly stands out. It’s a fantastic choice for travelers seeking comfort, style, and convenience in Vienna—definitely worth returning to.

Almanac Palais Vienna

Staying at Almanac Palais Vienna was an unforgettable experience—especially the room decor, which felt like stepping into a stylish art gallery. Every detail exuded elegance and character, making it stand out from other hotels I’ve visited. That said, there’s no luggage delivery service, so you’ll need to carry your bags up yourself, which can be a bit challenging with heavy suitcases. The layout inside is also a little confusing—navigating to your room took some time on the first try. A floor plan from reception would’ve been helpful. Despite these small hiccups, the location is excellent: close to public transit and great dining options nearby. Overall, the ambiance, charm, and value make this hotel well worth a visit.

The Amauris Vienna - Relais & Châteaux

This hotel completely exceeded my expectations! The service was outstanding—rooms were cleaned twice daily, always spotless and fresh. I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the room; unlike many European hotels with compact rooms, this one offered generous space that made me feel truly comfortable. Its location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Vienna, just a short walk from the Golden Hall. Even on rainy days, they provided complimentary umbrellas, which showed real thoughtfulness. The design beautifully blends classic and modern elements: stepping into the lobby, you’re greeted by an elegant vintage elevator, while a sleek modern one is available for guests with luggage. It’s such a thoughtful touch. And despite its luxury vibe, the price felt incredibly fair—especially considering how convenient everything is nearby, from dining to public transit. If I ever return to Vienna, this will be my top choice again. Highly recommend!

Novotel Wien Hauptbahnhof

Staying at Novotel Wien Hauptbahnhof was an absolute highlight of my trip to Vienna. The location couldn’t be better—just a 15-minute train ride from the airport (around €5.50), and right outside the station, you’ll spot the hotel near a bustling exit lined with food stalls. One of them is a Chinese restaurant that served delicious meals at great value—around €15 per person—and we ended up eating there twice. The hotel itself feels modern and well-maintained. Our room was spacious enough for two adults, and even with a child, the sofa could likely convert into a bed (though we didn’t test it). The bed felt larger than the 1.3m listed online—definitely comfortable for two, and honestly, much better than the Novotel I stayed at in Edinburgh last year, especially considering the price difference. Vienna’s overall cost of living is noticeably lower than in the UK. The bathroom features a smart wet/dry separation, and the vanity surface is generous—plenty of room for both of us to lay out our toiletries. Breakfast was fantastic: a wide variety of fresh fruits, pastries, eggs, yogurt, and coffee. My husband stuck mainly to fruit and yogurt each morning, while I enjoyed croissants, eggs, and a strong espresso. Service was attentive—though there’s no phone in the room, help was always just a floor away at the front desk. There’s a kettle provided, but only two bottles of water were given on arrival, one of which had carbonation—fortunately, tap water is safe to drink. No slippers included, but they’re easy to request at reception, and I actually asked for two extra pairs before checking out since I needed them for my flight. The only downside? I forgot to pack a hairdryer—European hotel ones are often outdated, weak, and take forever to dry hair. That said, this minor oversight didn’t ruin the experience. Overall, a top-tier stay with excellent value, convenience, and comfort. I’d absolutely recommend it—and return again.

Mercure Grand Hotel Biedermeier Wien

The hotel has a modest exterior tucked away in a charming little alleyway, making it especially romantic at night. The room itself is fairly standard in design but surprisingly spacious—perfect for comfort. During our stay in July, the hot water took forever to heat up and remained quite cool even after waiting, so we ended up just rushing through a quick shower. Breakfast was decent—nothing fancy, but filling enough to start the day. Public transport access is excellent: right outside the hotel, there’s a bus stop with frequent service, and it’s just a short walk across the street to the 74A bus line heading toward the historic center. The subway is also very convenient nearby. However, if you're coming from the train station, be aware that the transfer involves taking a local train rather than a metro—these trains run on a timed schedule, unlike the seamless system back home. Plan ahead to avoid missing your connection. We didn’t spot any obvious taxi stands around, so consider using other transit options or ride-sharing apps. Overall, despite minor quirks, the location, space, and ease of getting around make this a solid choice for travelers seeking value and atmosphere.

Hotel Bellevue Wien

The hotel's location is absolutely perfect—just a 5-minute walk to the metro and right across the street from a tram that runs straight into the city center. I also appreciated having a supermarket just steps away for convenience. My room faced an inner courtyard, so there was zero noise from the tram or nearby construction, which made for a peaceful stay. The only minor downside was the lack of an electric kettle in the room, but that’s easy to manage with a personal travel kettle. Overall, this place offers excellent value, comfort, and great access to everything. I’d definitely come back.

Absolutely loved my stay! The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the Belvedere Palace and surrounded by great dining options. The view from the window was unbeatable, with the palace right across the street—perfect for morning coffee or an evening stroll. The breakfast spread was impressive, especially the smoked salmon—it was fresh, flavorful, and truly stood out. Everything about this hotel felt thoughtfully designed, from the convenient transport links to the cozy, well-appointed rooms. It’s rare to find such a peaceful yet central spot with such high quality. Definitely planning to return.

Citadines Danube Vienna

Even though the hotel isn’t located in the city center, it’s just steps from the U1 subway station, making downtown access a quick 10–15 minute ride—super convenient. It’s also only one stop away from the United Nations headquarters, perfect for business travelers or those attending meetings in the area. Right on the ground floor, there’s a fast-food spot and a decent-sized supermarket, so all daily essentials are easily accessible. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—when I mentioned a slight odor in my initial room, they immediately arranged a room change with no hassle. I also appreciated the complimentary milk and coffee available in the lobby, which was a nice touch, especially during colder months. The room itself is well-equipped with a kitchenette including an oven and microwave, ideal for self-catering. Cleanliness was excellent—no issues at all. The interior design feels warm and inviting, creating a cozy, home-like atmosphere. Overall, this was an outstanding stay. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and value.
