I actually didn’t need to pack any travel toiletries this time. Breakfast was a highlight too—wide variety of options with both local and Western-style dishes, all freshly prepared and delicious. A quick note: the front desk is located on the 12th floor, so it’s essential to contact them in advance to confirm your entry point. They’ll send a clear access map with directions—super helpful and easy to follow. I’ve included the map in my last photo for reference. Don’t skip this step—going without confirmation could lead to confusion and wasted time. Overall, the service, location, and comfort made this stay outstanding. Definitely my top choice for future visits to Kunming.

Thanks to a friend's recommendation, I stayed at Atour Hotel near Kunming Railway Station and was really impressed—especially the bedding. The pillows are so comfortable that I always ask for the foam ones instead of relying on fancy feather pillows from five-star hotels. We booked a family room with a 1.8m queen bed and a 1.2m single bed—perfect fit for my two daughters, who had plenty of space to sleep comfortably. The outdoor swing was a real highlight; even though we didn’t have much time to play, the kids were thrilled and couldn’t stop smiling. Staying here was ideal for our trip around New Year’s, as it’s just steps away from the train station. We checked out at 8:30 AM and still made our 9:00 train to Dali without rushing—though we originally thought we’d need to leave by 8:15, the extra half hour made all the difference. For families traveling with kids, this kind of flexibility is a big plus!
