Kona Kai Resort & Spa, a Noble House Resort

The staff here were absolutely fantastic—warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. The room itself was cozy and spotless, making for a really relaxing stay. That said, there were a few small improvements that could be made: the bathroom could use more storage options—just one towel rack in the shower and a tiny hook on the wall, with no convenient spots near the sink for hand towels. Also, the lack of a working exhaust fan made the space feel humid and stuffy, especially after a hot day. Morning coffee service was disappointing too—it wasn’t available until well past the advertised time, and by the time we arrived at 7:00 AM, it was already gone. Still, these minor drawbacks don’t come close to overshadowing the positives. The pool area is stunning, with incredible ocean views and a peaceful, tropical vibe. Watching the sunset from the terrace was pure magic. This resort truly delivers on ambiance and comfort. We’d definitely come back again—this place has a special charm that’s hard to beat.

Hilton San Diego Airport/Harbor Island

Staying at the Hilton San Diego Airport/Harbor Island was an absolute delight. The location is incredibly convenient—just a short walk from the harbor and downtown, with plenty of great dining options nearby. I especially loved strolling westward to a fantastic seafood spot right by the water; the view was breathtaking and the food was fresh and delicious. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff. Whether you're here for business or leisure, this place offers comfort, charm, and excellent value. I highly recommend it—definitely planning to return!

The Pearl Hotel

Staying at The Pearl Hotel was a delightful experience from start to finish. This charming boutique hotel effortlessly captures a 60s vibe with its unique design and cozy atmosphere—perfect for travelers who appreciate character and style. I especially appreciated having breakfast, lunch, and dinner options on-site. We only dined once during our stay, but the meal was fresh, well-prepared, and satisfying. While parking is limited, we managed to find a spot every time without much hassle. The nightly rate felt fair given the location, amenities, and overall charm. It’s clear that attention to detail has been put into every aspect of the guest experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a stylish, comfortable retreat in San Diego.

Holiday Inn Express San Diego-Sea World Area

The hotel is spotless and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The bed was super comfortable, and the quiet surroundings made for a peaceful night's sleep. Just a 10-minute walk away, there's a fantastic BBQ place that’s worth every minute of the long queue—totally delicious! Breakfast was simple but satisfying, and overall, everything else was great. The only downside was that the elevator broke on our check-in day, and it took a full day to fix—so we had to climb the stairs with our luggage, which was tough, especially with heavy bags. We ended up just grabbing a change of clothes and heading up, but it was still a hassle. Still, I have to say, the way they handled the situation—though slow—was transparent and persistent. It’s not perfect, but the location, cleanliness, and comfort make up for it. Definitely a solid choice if you're visiting San Diego, and I’d stay here again.

The room was clean, spacious, and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed that made for a restful night’s sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. Public transportation is easily accessible nearby, making it simple to explore downtown San Diego. For the price, the value is outstanding—this place feels like a luxury retreat without the luxury price tag. I’ll definitely be returning soon.

Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina

Staying at Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina was an absolute delight. The service stood out—our room was upgraded to a stunning ocean-view suite with no extra charge, which was such a lovely surprise. The best part? Watching the fireworks from SeaWorld light up the night sky directly from our balcony. It was magical, peaceful, and unforgettable. The location is perfect—just steps away from the marina and easy access to downtown San Diego by public transit. Great dining options nearby, clean rooms, and a relaxing spa vibe. This hotel truly delivers on comfort, views, and hospitality. 10/10 without hesitation—would book again in a heartbeat.

Ocean Villa Inn

The staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making our check-in experience a breeze. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the beach and downtown San Diego, with easy access to public transit. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. The only minor improvement would be upgrading the bathroom fixtures and adding more modern touches—otherwise, it’s a near-perfect stay. Howard Johnson by Wyndham San Diego Sea World

My stay at Howard Johnson by Wyndham San Diego Sea World was absolutely fantastic! The hotel is quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and free of any bugs or pests—something I truly appreciate. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the bathroom was well-maintained with all necessary amenities. I was especially impressed by the in-room facilities: a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and even an iron—everything you need for a comfortable stay. What really stood out was a small but meaningful gesture: I accidentally dropped my rental car key late at night, but found it neatly hung on the car handle the next morning. That little detail gave me so much confidence in the hotel’s security, especially when traveling with family. Breakfast was simple but delicious, and overall, the value for money was excellent. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting San Diego looking for comfort, cleanliness, and peace of mind.

The Inn at Sunset Cliffs

I booked this place as a birthday treat, and it was perfect—just a short walk from Sunset Cliffs. I called ahead to ask about early check-in, and the front desk staff was incredibly helpful and professional. They arranged for us to check in two hours early, even though housekeeping was still working on the room—great service! The room was spacious for two people, comfortably air-conditioned, and well-lit with thoughtful lighting. It came equipped with a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker, wine glasses, and even a bottle opener—perfect for a relaxed evening. The bathroom had all the essentials and felt clean and modern. The pool area and lounge furniture were a real highlight; we spent a good chunk of time just relaxing by the water, soaking in the ocean views. We also had dinner at the on-site restaurant, which offered stunning sea-facing seating—worth every penny. Parking was easy too: spots near the garage were first-come, first-serve, and if full, there’s plenty of street parking nearby. Overall, our stay was fantastic—we loved everything about it and would absolutely book again.

Heritage Inn San Diego

I absolutely loved staying at Heritage Inn San Diego! The location is perfect—just a short walk from shops, restaurants, and local attractions. I didn’t need to go far for anything; everything I needed was right outside the door. The neighborhood feels safe and clean, even in the evening. The room was cozy with a nice blend of classic charm and modern comfort. It’s rare to find such a great value with this level of convenience and style. I’ll definitely be returning next time I visit San Diego.
