Royal Hotel Saigon
We stayed at Royal Hotel Saigon for three nights and had a mixed experience. Check-in was quick and even arrived earlier than the scheduled time—no waiting at all. They offered us a drink during registration, which was a nice touch. The room itself was spacious, but we noticed one bedside table was missing, making it inconvenient to use. There were two windows in the room, but both were covered with opaque film, so we couldn’t see outside or even tell if it was daytime or night, sunny or rainy. This should definitely be mentioned in the room description—otherwise, it’s misleading. The furniture looked a bit worn out, and the overall condition needs an update. The soundproofing was terrible—the hallway conversations and footsteps were clearly audible throughout the night, which disrupted our rest. Also, the shower faucet dripped when turned on, indicating a maintenance issue. While the location is convenient and the staff were friendly, the room itself really needs a full renovation to meet modern standards. It’s a shame because the potential is there.

I was a bit stressed until I found a local pharmacy just a five-minute walk away via Google Maps—luckily, they had cooling packs and basic medicine. Overall, the location is excellent: well-connected, easy to explore, and ideal as a base for sightseeing. With its charm, cleanliness, and great service, this place is a fantastic choice for travelers looking for comfort and authenticity.
