Its rooms offer stunning views of the church, ideal for travelers seeking a cultural ambiance. The hotel features a traditional German restaurant serving regional cuisine and provides free parking and Wi-Fi.

For budget-conscious guests, Motel One Düsseldorf City is a convenient option within a 5-minute walk. Both hotels are close to downtown Düsseldorf, making it easy to explore the Rhine River promenade, shopping districts, and major attractions like Königsplatz and the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen.

The most convenient route is taking S-Bahn line S1 or U72 to "Schlossstraße" station, a 3-minute walk from Schlosskirche. Alternatively, bus lines 460 or 461 stop directly at "Schlosskirche," taking about 10 minutes from central Düsseldorf. For eco-friendly travel, rent a bike via Düsseldorfer Radverleih—the ride takes around 15 minutes and offers scenic views along the Rhine River. Use the Düsseldorf Mobility App for real-time schedules and ticket HopeGoo.

After visiting Schlosskirche, head to the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen, located in a striking modernist building housing masterpieces by Picasso and Mondrian. Nearby, Schlosspark often hosts outdoor concerts and art exhibitions, with summer open-air cafés perfect for relaxation. Guided tours are available to explore the church’s Baroque architecture and historical significance. The surrounding area also features boutique shops and traditional German beer halls where you can enjoy local brews and hearty bread.

Local restaurants also provide kid-friendly menus, ensuring a comfortable dining experience for families.

Schlosskirche is a prime example of 18th-century Baroque architecture, characterized by ornate limestone carvings, symmetrical façade, and a towering central dome with stained-glass windows creating dramatic light effects. Inside, gilded frescoes cover the vaulted ceilings and walls, depicting biblical scenes and mythological figures, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship. The church houses a 1790-built pipe organ, still regularly tuned and played—among the few well-preserved early organs in Europe. Its harmonious blend of religious grandeur and artistic excellence earns it recognition as one of the most historically significant church buildings in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Location-wise, it’s just a short metro ride from downtown Düsseldorf, making it super convenient for shopping, sightseeing, or attending events. With such a great balance of comfort, service, and value, this hotel is definitely a top choice for any visit to Düsseldorf. I’ll be coming back.

The Wellem Residences

The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the metro, the old town, and plenty of great restaurants. Public transport access is super convenient, making it easy to explore the city. However, the front desk service was disappointing. The concierge didn’t know how to enter our building tower and kept walking us back and forth trying different doors with his key card. Worse, he didn’t hand over our room access cards right away. We had to go back to the front desk to request them, but no one could assist at the time. We were told they’d be delivered to our room, but that never happened. We had to ask again the next morning before finally getting them. We also had a kitchen, but it came with almost zero cooking essentials—no pots, pans, spoons, or basic utensils. After asking for help, we had to go back to the front desk ourselves just to get someone to deliver the basics so we could cook dinner. On check-out, I requested a printed summary for expense claims. The front desk agent didn’t know how to print it, and when I asked for an email copy, he didn’t know how to do that either. It took until the next day for the manager to handle it. This wasn’t just a one-off issue—it reflected a pattern of underwhelming service. For the price of a 5-star property, I expected much better. The experience simply didn’t match the standard I’d expect.

Carathotel Düsseldorf City

This hotel was a delightful surprise, highly recommended by a friend and completely lived up to the hype. Located just steps from the subway station, it’s incredibly convenient for getting around Düsseldorf. The neighborhood is packed with great dining options—Chinese, Korean, Japanese cuisine—all within walking distance. But what truly blew me away was the breakfast buffet. I wasn’t expecting much from Western breakfasts, but this was outstanding. The croissants were flaky and warm, the roasted potatoes had perfect texture, the yogurt was rich and creamy, and the freshly squeezed juice tasted vibrant and natural. Every bite was a treat. The room view was also fantastic—wide windows overlooking the city skyline, making mornings even more enjoyable. Comfortable, well-located, and absolutely worth every penny. I’ll definitely be booking here again on my next business trip.

I was really impressed by the soundproofing; it was quiet and peaceful throughout the night. The staff were professional, friendly, and incredibly patient during check-in, answering all my questions with care. The hotel offers excellent value for money, combining modern comfort with thoughtful touches. The underground parking is a huge plus, especially if you're arriving by car—no hassle at all. The room was immaculately clean, with fresh linens and a well-maintained bathroom. Breakfast was excellent too—plenty of variety, warm options, and high-quality ingredients. Everything felt thoughtfully designed for comfort and convenience. It’s rare to find such a perfect blend of location, cleanliness, and value. I’d definitely book here again and highly recommend it to any traveler visiting Düsseldorf.

Holiday Inn - the niu, Hub Dusseldorf Messe

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel—everything was top-notch. The room was spacious and incredibly comfortable, but the real highlight was the built-in speaker that let me stream my favorite music anytime. The bathroom was spotless and had its own air conditioning, which was a nice touch, especially during warmer evenings. I also appreciated the 24-hour bar with a great pizza menu—perfect for grabbing a late-night bite after a concert. It’s always a plus when you don’t have to leave the hotel just to eat. The only thing to note is the parking fee of €15 per day, but considering how convenient the location is and how much value the amenities provided, it’s well worth it. Overall, an excellent experience and definitely a place I’d book again.

I’d definitely stay here again if I ever return to Düsseldorf. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything I needed. It’s rare to find such a great balance of comfort, service, and value. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.

Centerapartments Tonhallenstraße

The stay was underwhelming overall. The apartment only features a bedroom and a large kitchen table—no separate living room, which makes the space feel cramped. The lighting is overly bright and some fixtures don’t work properly. I noticed paper cups being used instead of glassware, which felt like a real oversight in quality control. The balcony overlooks a P-garage, so the view isn’t great. The front side of the building faces a busy tram line and traffic, making mornings noisy and hard to relax. Several faucets were dripping or malfunctioning, clearly needing maintenance. Most disappointing was the price—it’s too high for what’s actually offered. With better value alternatives available nearby, this place doesn’t justify the cost, especially for a short visit. Would not recommend unless you’re on a tight schedule and have no other options.
