The view from Hotel Okhtinskaya is absolutely stunning—every morning I woke up to a breathtaking panorama of the Neva River, with sunlight glinting off the water. The breakfast spread was impressive: fresh pastries, local cheeses, organic fruits, and hot dishes made to order. Everything felt fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The staff were warm and attentive without being intrusive. Located just steps from the metro, it’s easy to explore the city center and nearby attractions. With such a great location, excellent views, and a fantastic breakfast, this hotel offers incredible value for money. I’d definitely stay here again on my next visit to St. Petersburg.

We booked a weekend stay in St. Petersburg with friends from September 23 to 25, 2022, through the app simultaneously. The total price including breakfast came to around 12,000 rubles—comparable for both our side and theirs. However, upon arrival, we were assigned room 306 while our friends got room 202. To our surprise, their room was clearly a superior luxury option at the same price, while ours was only a semi-luxury room. Their room was spotless and beautifully furnished—truly impressive. Our room, on the other hand, was in terrible condition: worn-out furniture, wrinkled curtains, broken outlets, and overall poor upkeep. We approached the front desk asking for a room change, but instead faced an unhelpful staff member who refused any adjustment and stated no refund was possible. It felt like being taken advantage of. Visiting such a stunning city should be joyful, not ruined by this kind of experience. With the price paid, there are definitely better options available. We strongly advise against staying here and would not recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely fantastic stay at this guest house! Though it's not a traditional hotel, the place feels more like a cozy home away from home. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Eugene, who took the time to explain everything—rules, facilities, and local tips—making us feel welcome right away. The entire space is spotlessly clean, with thoughtful amenities perfect for longer stays. There’s a shared laundry machine, iron, and ironing board in the common area, and every room comes equipped with a kettle, fridge, microwave, and hairdryer. Plus, they provide complimentary tea, coffee, cookies, sugar, and more—everything you could want for a comfortable stay. The rooms themselves are recently renovated with modern touches, everything works perfectly, and we had zero issues throughout our visit. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable—right next to the Smolny Cathedral, so you’ll never get lost. While it’s a bit of a walk from the city center, we used the Podorozhnik travel card and easily reached Nevsky Prospekt or Moscow Station via tram in just 10 minutes. One of the biggest pluses? On-site parking—rare and super convenient for those arriving by car. The only small downside is the lack of air conditioning, but honestly, it didn’t bother us at all—the rooms stayed comfortable, and we actually enjoyed the authentic, low-key vibe even more. Highly recommend this gem to anyone visiting St. Petersburg—it’s a true hidden treasure!

I booked a basic room, but everything was incredibly cozy and well-designed—especially the emerald green accents that gave the space such a unique, calming vibe. The air conditioning was a lifesaver during the hot summer days when temperatures soared above 30°C. It kept the room comfortably cool without any noise or issues. The location is excellent—just a short walk from the metro, making it super easy to explore the city. Clean, welcoming, and great value for money. I’d definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone visiting St. Petersburg.
