I’d been wanting to stay at Shangri-La Far Eastern Taipei for a while, mainly because my travel group consisted of three people who all wanted individual beds and a single room. I was a bit hesitant at first since most of the online reviews were from 2017–2018, but once I arrived, I completely changed my mind—this hotel exceeded all expectations. The ambiance is incredibly luxurious, and the overall quality is top-notch. The room was much bigger than the photos suggested, offering plenty of space and a really comfortable feel. From the moment we walked in, the bell staff and front desk team were welcoming and professional—every interaction was pleasant. The signature fragrance and premium toiletries added that extra touch of sophistication. Initially, I was disappointed to learn that none of the four-room options had views of Taipei 101 (which was part of our original shortlist), but after seeing the room in person, I didn’t care about the view at all—the condition, cleanliness, and comfort were just too good. During our 3-night stay, we only encountered one other Korean guest (in the elevator!), and the breakfast area and pool were mostly filled with European travelers, giving it a very international vibe. What stood out the most was how the hotel proactively sent us a confirmation email after booking to confirm our schedule—something many 5-star hotels don’t do. It made planning so much easier and gave me peace of mind. Overall, this trip was enjoyable and stress-free thanks to the excellent service. I’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Taipei.

This time, I was pleasantly surprised by the brighter lighting in the underground elevator lobby and in the room itself, which felt noticeably brighter than my last stay just a month ago. This was my first stay at a luxury international hotel, and I couldn’t be more impressed. We drove in, but the hotel’s location is fantastic—right next to both Xiaojie Station and Nanjing Fuxing Station on the MRT, making it super easy to get around Taipei. Just a short walk from the hotel brings you to major shopping malls, restaurants, and entertainment spots, perfect for first-time visitors exploring the city. The room was spotless, modern, and spacious—especially the bathroom, which clearly had been recently renovated. The soundproofing is excellent; even in the middle of a busy urban area, we slept like babies through the night. We stayed in a triple room with three adults and two large suitcases plus two carry-ons—plenty of space, no crowding at all. Plus, the hotel offers dedicated parking, a huge plus for those arriving by car. With its unbeatable convenience, clean design, and family-friendly layout, this place delivers exceptional value. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Taipei!
