The room design is thoughtful and refined, with little details like a delicate hydroponic flower on the bedside table adding a personal touch. The bath amenities were Diptyque—luxurious and fragrant, turning every shower into a mini spa moment. Breakfast was beautifully presented, offering a sophisticated yet timeless European experience. Despite the high-end feel, the hotel doesn’t feel outdated at all—it’s modern, elegant, and full of character. A truly memorable stay that exceeded expectations. I’d return in a heartbeat.

Villa Dagmar

Our stay at Villa Dagmar was absolutely wonderful! The location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of Stockholm, just steps away from the vibrant Ostermalms Food Hall. Everything about the hotel felt fresh and spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—perfect for a good night’s sleep. Our room had a window facing the atrium breakfast area, which added such a cozy, homely touch. We enjoyed our morning meals there, surrounded by natural light and greenery—so peaceful and inviting. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere warm, and the whole experience felt like coming home. I’d 100% book here again next time I’m in Stockholm!

It’s easy to see why it’s part of Design Hotels™. The room is on the smaller side, but honestly, that’s totally fair given its unbeatable location — right next to boutique shops and just steps from everything. What really stood out? The attention to detail. Everything from the plush bedding and soft towels to the slippers felt luxurious. And the toiletries? All Byredo — the scent was subtle yet elegant. But the real game-changer? A proper bidet. In Europe, that’s still a rarity, so it made a big difference for me. Staff were incredibly kind and always available — even at 1 a.m., when I called about a forgotten tote bag, someone brought it up to my room without hesitation. That kind of service goes beyond expectations. Breakfast was simple but excellent: fresh ingredients, delicious pastries, and homemade jam that tasted like heaven. Honestly, the value was outstanding for the quality. If I ever return to Stockholm, this will be my first choice. I genuinely fell in love with the place.

Staying at Ett HEM in Stockholm was an absolute highlight of my trip—truly one of the best boutique hotels I’ve ever experienced. Nestled in a quiet, upscale residential neighborhood, the hotel feels like a hidden gem. The property consists of two older but beautifully maintained buildings, each with its own shared spaces. The first building houses the front desk, a cozy lounge area, and a charming restaurant. The second building has communal areas on floors one through three, including another dining space on the ground floor. Every common area is thoughtfully designed with warmth and comfort in mind—there’s a real sense of personality and style throughout. Each day, fresh pastries and water are offered in the lounge, and guests can help themselves to alcoholic drinks (paid for by self-registration in a notebook). The restaurants are exceptional and require reservations—unfortunately we missed out on the 7-course tasting menu during a local festival, but the 5-course option we enjoyed over two nights was outstanding. The food was fresh, creative, and beautifully presented—around 1,000 RMB per person, which felt completely justified. Breakfast was simple but high-quality, all made fresh daily without options—just pure freshness and care in every bite. Staff are naturally reserved, typical of Swedish hospitality, but genuinely kind and helpful when approached. Free snacks are available in-room, though drinks aren’t complimentary. No kettle provided, but they’ll happily lend you one upon request. We couldn’t book a larger room—the bigger ones sell out fast—but even the standard room was well-appointed, with everything we needed, including full-sized organic skincare products. Honestly, this place exceeded every expectation. I left with several bottles of their signature bath and body products in my suitcase—proof of how much I loved it. If you’re looking for a refined, intimate, and thoughtfully curated stay in Stockholm, Ett HEM should be top of your list.

It's incredibly close to Gamla Stan, and both Djurgården and the City Hall Train Station are within easy walking distance.
