The location is perfect: just step out the door and turn right (no need to walk onto the main street), and you're at Zōjō-ji Temple. The combination of ancient temple architecture and the iconic Tokyo Tower makes for stunning photos—no filter needed. The temple is free to enter, and the staff at the omikuji booth are surprisingly funny and friendly. Walk straight across the road for about 300 meters (another 20 meters ahead is the Otemon Station), then turn left to reach Shiba Shrine area—packed with great dining options: izakayas, ramen shops, yakitori, even a Yoshinoya. There’s also Shibakoen Park nearby (I didn’t visit, but heard it’s peaceful). Just to the left of the hotel is Otemon Station—only 25 minutes to Harajuku, super convenient. Breakfast is fantastic: generous portions with both Western and Japanese options. Parking costs 1,000 JPY per night—fairly reasonable. And if you join the Prince Member program, you can check in early. This place offers incredible value, charm, and convenience all in one. Definitely worth a return stay.
