The property sits within a spacious, gated compound, tucked away in a quiet, low-key neighborhood that feels safe and peaceful. My room had several nice touches: a surprisingly spacious bed, a flat-screen TV with decent channels, and a clean, private bathroom. No meals are served on-site, but just a short walk around back leads to Burger King and a Sasol gas station with a solid selection of breakfast options in the morning. For sightseeing, Constitution Hill—the city’s premier landmark—is just a 10- to 15-minute taxi ride away. This historic site once housed Nelson Mandela and Mahatma Gandhi, and offers an impressive rampart for panoramic views of the city.
