The hotel is just a 20-minute drive from the airport, making it super convenient for travelers. The surrounding area is clean, safe, and well-maintained—no worries about security at all. Once you arrive at the waterfront, you're surrounded by a wide variety of restaurants and shops, perfect for dining and casual strolling. The room itself was spotless, though basic toiletries weren’t provided—still, cleanliness was excellent. We stayed in a double room with two beds, and while the common space felt a bit tight, it was definitely worth it for the extra sleeping capacity. Great value for families or groups traveling together, and the location can't be beat. Highly recommend this stay.

Staying at the AC Hotel Cape Town Waterfront was an absolute delight! The staff went above and beyond—friendly, welcoming, and always smiling. Breakfast was outstanding with a great variety of fresh options and excellent quality. Our room was spotless, well-maintained, and offered breathtaking views of Table Mountain and Signal Hill—waking up to that sight every morning was unforgettable. The location is unbeatable, just steps away from the waterfront and easy access to public transit. This hotel truly delivers on comfort, service, and scenery. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Cape Town.
Flatrock Suites
Staying at Flatrock Suites was a major disappointment. The hotel is located directly above a nightclub, and the loud music and constant laughter kept going until 6 a.m., making it nearly impossible to sleep. I booked a two-bedroom suite, but only one room had air conditioning— the other had no fan at all, which made it extremely uncomfortable in the heat. To make matters worse, the DSTV service didn’t work, and despite reaching out to the property management team, I received zero support or assistance. There were also no curtains or blinds on the main bedroom door, so sunlight flooded into the room by 5 a.m., disrupting any chance of rest. Overall, the experience was poor, with multiple basic amenities failing and no effort from staff to resolve issues. Definitely not worth it, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Friendly staff, peaceful atmosphere, and great value for money. I’d highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Cape Town. It’s definitely a place I’ll come back to.

She makes sure every need is met without ever overstepping. I loved the honesty bar—it’s so convenient and adds a nice touch of independence. The coffee machine is top-notch; perfect for morning brews. The rooms are spacious, beautifully furnished, and incredibly comfortable. It’s one of those places you instantly want to return to. If you’re looking for a stylish, relaxed stay with genuine hospitality, this is it.

That said, the unit could use a deeper clean occasionally—especially around the kitchen sink, microwave, and tile grout where some buildup is noticeable. While proper laundry detergent was provided, there was no dishwasher-safe soap included, which was a small inconvenience. Overall, the value for money is solid, especially for a central location. One minor suggestion: consider reversing the fridge door’s swing direction so it opens into the kitchen rather than toward the sleeping area. It’s an easy fix with basic tools and would significantly improve daily convenience. A thoughtful upgrade that makes a big difference.
