Returning now, I’m amazed at how well-preserved everything still is—rooms are impeccably maintained, with only minor issues like slightly stiff cabinet doors that don’t detract from the overall quality. The bedside clock looks exactly as it did a decade ago—no signs of wear at all. It’s genuinely surprising and touching to see such consistency. Despite ongoing renovations, service levels remain top-notch, and every staff member I interacted with was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Kudos to the team for keeping the standard so high. Unfortunately, I heard the hotel will be rebranding soon—making this stay feel even more special. If you’re looking for a luxurious, well-cared-for retreat in Changsha with thoughtful details and excellent hospitality, this is one of the best options around. Located right in the heart of the city, it’s just an 8-minute walk to Yuanjialing Metro Station, where both Line 2 and Line 6 are accessible. Line 2 takes you straight to Orange Isle and Yuelu Mountain, while Line 6 offers direct access to the airport—super convenient for travel. Right across from the hotel is the Hunan Provincial Theatre, and downstairs you’ll find Hua Tian Xiao Lu, a local favorite that delivers delicious food. Special thanks to Manager Xiao Yin for the thoughtful recommendations—I tried Tea Yan Yue Se and explored IFS Guojin Center, making the most of the area’s vibrant vibe. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. Housekeeping did a great job keeping the space clean and tidy. Staff were warm and proactive—they kindly pointed me to breakfast location and informed me about the complimentary swimming pool and fitness center. My friends who visited also praised the value and hospitality. Overall, this stay exceeded expectations, and I’m already planning to return. We easily reached Yuelu Mountain and Orange Isle by metro, while Du Fu's Pavilion was literally across the street. It only took about 20 minutes to get to East Square, making it perfect for exploring the city without hassle. Around the hotel, there’s no shortage of great food and shopping—two convenient Haidilao locations within walking distance, and even Cha Yan Yue Se was just steps away. The hotel itself is beautifully designed with a calm, elegant atmosphere. Every staff member we met was warm, professional, and genuinely helpful. Special thanks to Tina Yu Ting from the Guest Services Lounge who made our check-in experience so smooth—she was especially attentive to our elderly family members and our kids, even gifting them little welcome treats. Our riverside room offered stunning views, and the natural light flooded in during the day, making every moment feel special. There’s also a unique collaboration store with the Provincial Museum—my kids loved browsing through the themed souvenirs, which were reasonably priced and perfect as gifts. The pool temperature was ideal for children, and they had a blast playing around. Breakfast was fantastic too—diverse options that catered to all tastes, with a strong focus on healthy eating. Unfortunately, due to our packed itinerary, we didn’t get to try the hotel’s dining venues beyond a lovely afternoon tea and a satisfying evening buffet. Even better, she personally escorted us up via elevator with a luggage cart, explaining everything along the way: where the kids’ play area was, breakfast hours, and which floor had direct access to the shopping mall—perfect for hassle-free outings with little ones. Once in the room, she even helped organize our belongings, all with genuine kindness and patience. The suite exceeded expectations—huge space, spotless cleanliness, soft bedding, and amazing views. Bonus: since it’s not in the heart of the tourist zone, finding a taxi was never an issue. The room itself was well-equipped and very comfortable, especially the down comforter—so cozy and warm. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered fantastic views of the city skyline. Cleanliness was top-notch throughout, and the staff at reception were friendly, helpful, and always smiling. Every day, they welcomed us with a fresh fruit platter—a thoughtful touch that made the stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast was served on the 31st floor, with a mostly Chinese-style menu. While the options weren’t extensive, the food was delicious and satisfying, perfect for starting the day right. Overall, this hotel delivers excellent value, convenience, and comfort—definitely a place I’d return to on my next visit.
