Instead, the front desk went above and beyond: they arranged fresh vegetables, utensils, and personally delivered everything to our room. They even explained why knives couldn’t be loaned out—but kindly offered to have the kitchen prep it (I declined, opting instead to use a $0.01 thin metal spoon I picked up from a nearby congee shop—it actually worked surprisingly well!).
