We recently stayed at Crowne Plaza Guangzhou City Centre with our family during a trip to Guangzhou, and the experience was absolutely fantastic! We booked four rooms for two nights, accommodating eight adults and two infants. The hotel kindly upgraded two of our rooms, which made a big difference in comfort and space—truly appreciated. Located right in the heart of the city, the hotel offers convenient access to everything we wanted to explore. Plus, having on-site parking was a huge plus since we were traveling by car. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond. Two team members immediately stepped forward to help carry baby strollers—such a thoughtful gesture that made our journey much smoother with little ones in tow. Special thanks to Yumi, who handled all our pre-arrival requests with care and professionalism. She patiently coordinated our room preferences and special notes, and her warm, attentive service made us feel truly valued throughout our stay. The hotel is very family-friendly: free cribs were provided, and there’s a small but well-equipped kids’ play area on the 8th floor. Our two young children had a blast playing there, giving us a chance to relax and enjoy some quiet time. It’s not massive, but perfect for little ones to burn off energy. Overall, the level of service, cleanliness, location, and attention to detail exceeded our expectations. If we ever return to Guangzhou, this will be our first choice without hesitation.

One of the most maternity-friendly hotels I've ever stayed at! The staff went above and beyond—helping with luggage every step of the way, which made the whole experience so much easier. We also enjoyed a fantastic complimentary photo session: the photographer was quick, talented, and captured beautiful, natural shots—plus they even provided stylish outfits for the shoot! The hotel is housed in a former Qing Dynasty general's residence, and the central garden is absolutely perfect for kids to run around and explore. I’ve heard great things about the Red Cotton Restaurant too—definitely planning to try it on my next visit. With its rich history, warm hospitality, and thoughtful touches, this place truly stands out. I’d come back in a heartbeat.

My international friend, visiting Guangzhou for the first time, felt completely at ease and appreciated the comfortable stay. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable—just a short walk from Haizhu Square Metro Station and super close to Beijing Road Pedestrian Street for shopping and dining. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful; when we arrived during a sudden cold snap, they kindly offered us a small space heater—such a thoughtful touch! The only minor downside was the bathroom amenities—they weren’t the best quality, and there was no moisturizer provided. A simple upgrade here would make an already excellent experience perfect. Overall, this place offers great value and a truly comfortable stay. Highly recommended!

Within minutes, you can reach famous eateries like Taotaoju, Xiesanbao, Pigeo, Bao Shifu Bakery, Luckin Coffee, and even a Singapore bakery right on the ground floor—perfect for late-night cravings or morning coffee runs. The staff at front desk are incredibly friendly and helpful, always with a smile and ready to assist. Room amenities are top-notch: heated toilet seat with bidet function, powerful shower pressure, and an incredibly comfortable bed that strikes the perfect balance between soft and firm. I especially loved the voice-controlled features—just say the words to open curtains, turn on/off lights and TV. It feels like staying in a smart home. That said, the hotel is tucked away in a narrow lane, so it’s not visible from the main road. You’ll need to drop off along the street and carry your luggage through the entrance, which lacks a ramp or proper drop-off zone—climbing just two steps can be tricky if you’re traveling with heavy bags. Also, the room doors aren’t well soundproofed, so early morning cleaning sounds or corridor footsteps might disturb light sleepers. And while we paid for a city view, the actual window overlooks another residential building—so curtains stay closed most of the time. Still, these minor drawbacks don’t take away from the overall experience. With its prime location, modern design, and excellent service, this place delivers great value and charm. Definitely recommend for travelers who love a quiet, stylish retreat just moments from the city buzz.
