My stay at Haixiangyuan Hotel in Sanya was extremely disappointing. The showerhead looked like something unearthed from an archaeological dig—weak water pressure made it nearly impossible to rinse off. The toilet had no lid, and the bedside lamp was covered in spider webs. There were tea stains on the TV table, and right after entering the lobby, I noticed a strong unpleasant odor. Upon closer inspection, there were piles of random clutter and two cats roaming freely—worse still, one was even using a flower pot as a bathroom. The smell of cat waste mixed with cooking fumes from the kitchen (which wasn’t even closed off near the elevator) reminded me of frying pickled mustard greens. To make matters worse, the booking was non-refundable, so I had no choice but to endure the entire stay. The lobby sofa was torn, reeking of old sweat and mold—clearly neglected for ages. This place feels more like a poorly managed guesthouse than a hotel. I genuinely wonder if the owner has given up. Absolutely not recommended, and I wouldn’t stay here again under any circumstances.
