We didn’t mind walking, so the accessibility worked perfectly for us. It took about 45 minutes to stroll through El Retiro Park to reach the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, and the journey was absolutely enjoyable. The Palacio de Cristal was closed, but the water feature in front of it made for a charming photo spot. On the way back along Paseo del Prado at night, the illuminated streets and peaceful atmosphere made for a lovely evening experience. Everything about this stay felt seamless—from location to ambiance—and we couldn’t have asked for more.

My flight was delayed, so I had to book a last-minute stay near the airport—and honestly, this place exceeded all my expectations. The location is incredibly convenient: just one metro stop from the airport, and even though there’s an extra 3€ per person for the metro ride, families might find it more practical to take a taxi—only about 10€ and much faster. The hotel itself is fantastic: a lovely outdoor pool perfect for kids, clean rooms with plenty of space, and surprisingly quiet. I booked a standard room but was upgraded to a family room with an extra bed—way more than I expected! Plus, there's a great little supermarket on the ground floor with everything you need at very reasonable prices. A short walk away, you’ll find the British Palace (Palacio de la Bolsa) and several restaurants—great for exploring after check-in. Overall, this is one of those hidden gems where comfort, convenience, and value really come together. If I ever have a layover or late arrival again, I’ll definitely be back.
