Slippers, bathrobes, and a kettle are available upon request—delivered promptly. Breakfast on the 6th-floor rooftop terrace is outstanding: fluffy omelets, bacon, sausages, cold cuts, cheeses, fresh fruits and vegetables, a wide variety of pastries, jams, Nutella, yogurts, and even a dedicated basket of gluten-free options. Coffee and tea are served all day, and you can grab coffee to go. I stayed in a single room with a window facing an inner courtyard—privacy was great thanks to the shutters. Plus, the front desk offers free marshmallows for guests to enjoy. Attention to detail, comfort, and location make this a top-tier choice. Highly recommend!

The complimentary bottled water comes in small boxes with only three bottles per day—nothing wrong with that, but if you’re looking for better quality, pick up something slightly more expensive from the nearby supermarket; cheaper brands tend to be just filtered tap water and leave noticeable scale when boiled. But the real star? The breakfast. Hands down one of the best we’ve had anywhere—especially the hot stir-fried vegetables, which felt like a breath of fresh air for someone with a Chinese palate.
