Located just a 5-minute walk from Meilidao Station in the heart of Kaohsiung, this place is incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The hotel has a cozy café on the ground floor—perfect for relaxing with a coffee or working remotely. The staff are friendly and speak English fluently, offering helpful tips about the shared lounge and kitchen facilities during check-in. While the building isn’t brand new, the rooms are stylishly designed and feel modern and clean. I was especially impressed by the strong shower pressure—really refreshing after a long day. There’s also a free relaxation area right outside the room, stocked with a great selection of magazines and books, including some cool Japanese lifestyle titles. It’s a fantastic space to work on your laptop or just unwind. I stayed for several nights, and even when I wasn’t in my room, I still felt at home—peaceful, welcoming, and full of little details that make it stand out. The location is unbeatable—just a 2-minute walk to Xinqiujang Night Market and about a 12-minute stroll to Liuchu Night Market, perfect for food lovers who don’t want to travel far. Right nearby is Guotianzi Beiji Temple, a 10-minute walk away, where I picked up a lucky money charm said to bring prosperity—seriously, it felt like magic! I got a surprise bonus at work the week after, and I’m convinced it’s linked to that little charm. The hostel itself is clean, cozy, and full of local charm. Great value, great vibes, and definitely my go-to spot when I return to Kaohsiung.

Noise insulation was surprisingly good; if you hear footsteps occasionally, they provide earplugs—simple but effective.
