Staying at Sizihwan Sunset Beach Resort was a fantastic experience! Upon check-in, the staff warmly welcomed us and clearly explained the check-in/check-out times along with helpful information about the surroundings. Though there’s no elevator, the team kindly offered to assist with luggage—such a thoughtful touch. The private beach area is a real highlight, especially the sandbox filled with non-sticky sand that’s super easy to clean up after kids play. Breakfast was simple but delicious—offering porridge, toast, salad, and vegetarian options. Nothing overly salty, so even my little one enjoyed it without any issues. Located just steps from Xiziwan Beach, the sunset views are absolutely breathtaking. It's also very accessible by public transit. Highly recommend this gem for a relaxed, authentic coastal getaway.

Located just a 5-minute walk from Meilidao Station in the heart of Kaohsiung, this place is incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The hotel has a cozy café on the ground floor—perfect for relaxing with a coffee or working remotely. The staff are friendly and speak English fluently, offering helpful tips about the shared lounge and kitchen facilities during check-in. While the building isn’t brand new, the rooms are stylishly designed and feel modern and clean. I was especially impressed by the strong shower pressure—really refreshing after a long day. There’s also a free relaxation area right outside the room, stocked with a great selection of magazines and books, including some cool Japanese lifestyle titles. It’s a fantastic space to work on your laptop or just unwind. I stayed for several nights, and even when I wasn’t in my room, I still felt at home—peaceful, welcoming, and full of little details that make it stand out. Just a heads-up if you’re a heavy sleeper: the construction noise starts early, so plan to wake up and pack early if you want to hit the ground running for your day trips. Overall, the comfort, location, and genuine hospitality more than make up for the temporary inconvenience. A great choice for travelers looking for value and character.

We booked Katherine Plaza Hotel for a family trip and arrived around 5 PM. The front desk staff were very welcoming, clearly explained room details, and provided all the necessary info about meal times—great service right from the start. Walking into the room, we were immediately impressed by the clean environment; the walls looked freshly renovated, and the overall vibe felt cozy and homely—like staying at grandma’s place. One small downside: some TV channels had poor signal quality, and the programming leaned heavily toward K-dramas, sports, and movies. Also, the lighting in the room wasn’t bright enough when watching TV. The bathroom is spacious, but lacks proper wet/dry separation—adding a shower curtain would definitely improve safety and convenience. Breakfast was a highlight: generous and varied, with fresh stir-fried dishes, side pickles for congee, toast, buns, steamed bread, and more—perfect for starting the day on a full note. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable—just steps away from Central Park, Dali Department Store, Hanshin Mall, and within walking distance to Music & Pop Culture Hall and Zhuangzhi (Dabu) Art District. There are countless restaurants nearby, so dining options are endless. If we ever come back to Kaohsiung, this hotel will be our top choice. Thanks to the team for such a warm and thoughtful stay!
