This trip was such a delightful surprise—our daughters booked it secretly, and we had no idea until we arrived! Camps Bay Retreat Hotel exceeded all expectations. Nestled between lush trees with breathtaking sea views, the property feels like a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. It’s just a short walk to the vibrant dining area, which made exploring local cuisine super easy. The rooms were cozy and well-maintained, staff were warm and welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We appreciated the complimentary water, juice, and soft drinks left in our room each day. From 4 to 5 PM, they even offer free afternoon tea with freshly baked scones—perfect for relaxing after a long day. The only downside was the room service dinner on one night. We stayed in due to strong winds and ordered from the menu, but the meal didn’t live up to the quality of our lunch visit earlier that week. I’m not sure if there’s a different chef working the evening shift, but it was a bit disappointing. Still, this minor issue didn’t take away from the overall fantastic experience. We’re already planning our return visit!
