Seaview Resort Xiamen

Staying at Seaview Resort Xiamen was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The property boasts modern facilities, a serene environment, and a convenient location near the coast without being too far from city amenities. Breakfast was excellent—plentiful and tasty. But what truly stood out was the exceptional service from the staff, especially the personal care provided by the concierge. During New Year’s holiday, the hotel was nearly full with families traveling with kids, which made for some evening noise that even good soundproofing couldn’t fully block out—disrupted my sleep significantly. I also have a sensitive stomach, so lack of rest only worsened things, and I couldn’t handle heavy or greasy meals. That’s when the team stepped in with kindness: they proactively arranged a room transfer to the quieter Water Pavilion area, which made such a difference. To top it off, they brought me a warm bowl of soft, comforting congee with light side dishes right before bedtime. It wasn’t just food—it felt like care. I’ve never felt more looked after during a stay. This level of thoughtful service is rare, and it completely turned my experience around. I’ll definitely be returning.

Getting to the beach was super easy, and the shuttle service arrived promptly, making transportation hassle-free. We especially loved the quieter, more private atmosphere of the Shuiyuan area—it truly felt like a hidden retreat tucked within nature. Breakfast had a few à la carte options, and every dish we tried was fresh, delicious, and well-prepared. The staff were consistently warm and welcoming—the housekeeper Xiao Luo went above and beyond, always smiling and ready to help. What really touched us was how thoughtful they were when our child turned five: they arranged a little birthday setup and even brought out a sweet cake. It made the whole stay feel extra special. We’ll definitely be back whenever we visit Xiamen—this resort offers an unbeatable mix of comfort, serenity, and genuine hospitality.

From the moment you step into the lobby, the minimalist Japanese-inspired design with warm wood tones and soft ambient lighting instantly calms your mind, creating a serene, almost meditative atmosphere. The room itself is immaculately maintained: the smart toilet works flawlessly, the HD TV delivers crisp picture quality, and the Wi-Fi is lightning fast—no buffering during streaming or work calls. The bedding stands out—medium-firm mattress, perfectly balanced for comfort, and a down duvet that’s light yet cozy enough to keep you warm all night. Staff are attentive and helpful; they greeted us warmly, shared details about laundry facilities and breakfast timing, and even offered a thoughtful late-night bowl of hot porridge. Cleanliness is top-notch—the bathroom features full dry-wet separation, with spotless white tiles and no lingering chemical smell in the towels. The lobby lounge area is a real gem—quiet, tastefully designed, with complimentary aromatic tea and a peaceful vibe ideal for working remotely or meeting a friend. The only minor drawback? The room size is compact, around 20 sqm—opening a 28-inch suitcase leaves little walking space, so if you're traveling with a partner, you might need to take turns unpacking. But for travelers who mainly sleep here and spend days exploring the city, the layout is efficient and functional. Overall, an excellent choice with strong value for money.

Putian Hotel (Xiamen Mingfa Plaza)

Stayed at Putian Hotel (Xiamen Mingfa Plaza) and was genuinely impressed by the outstanding value for money. The room was surprisingly spacious—far bigger than expected for the price—and everything was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The new front desk staff member, Yu Ni, was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Even when we weren’t sure how to ask our questions, she patiently guided us through everything. Location is excellent too—just a short walk from Xiamen Railway Station and surrounded by great dining options. I’ll definitely be booking here again on my next trip to Xiamen!

Lai Xinyueju Homestay

Staying at this homestay was a delightful surprise! The place is spotlessly clean with a fully equipped kitchen, and all appliances, air conditioning, and furniture were in perfect condition. Rugui Yoho City Designer Homestay

I've stayed here multiple times, and each visit has been excellent. The room was spotless and incredibly clean—especially the bedding, which felt fresh and odor-free, making for a truly restful night's sleep. The host responded quickly and was very attentive to every request. Location is fantastic: just a short walk from Wuyuan Bay (about 700 meters), and there are plenty of great dining options nearby.
