Staying at Hotel Sapporo Sun Plaza was a great experience! The price was very reasonable for the quality and comfort offered. Though it has a traditional Japanese hotel vibe, the rooms are surprisingly spacious and comfortable. One of the highlights is the direct bus service from the airport to a station just 150 meters away from the hotel—super convenient for getting around. There are plenty of restaurants and small convenience stores nearby, so you can grab a quick bite or essentials without going far. Plus, it’s only a short walk to Sapporo Station, making it easy to explore the city or catch trains. Great location, good value, and a pleasant stay overall—definitely recommend this hotel for travelers visiting Sapporo.

Check-in was smooth using a 4-digit code sent through the platform to unlock the room door—very hassle-free. However, there's a small discrepancy: while the website lists an elevator, there isn’t actually one, so guests should be prepared to climb stairs, especially with heavy luggage. Also, the photos showed fun props like playing cards and Japanese swords as decor, but these weren't present during my stay—likely just staged for marketing. Despite those minor issues, cleanliness was outstanding. The room was spotless, comfortable, and peaceful, making for a restful night’s sleep. Overall, highly recommend this place for its value and hygiene.

The only minor thing was a little dust on the bed frame, but that’s really just a small detail in an otherwise excellent stay. Staying at Tabist Hokkaido Daiichi Hotel Sapporo was an excellent experience overall. The location is convenient, though you’ll need to transfer to the Sapporo subway after arriving on the JR line—just a short ride, so no hassle at all. There’s a 7-Eleven right outside the hotel entrance, open late, perfect for grabbing snacks or drinks anytime. A great tip: there’s a bus stop for the airport shuttle just a short walk from the hotel, near a local ramen shop—note that it’s not the one directly in front of the hotel. Ask the staff to mark it on your map; the one-way fare is only 1,300 yen and can be paid with either cash or transit card. Super convenient for travelers coming straight from the airport. The hotel itself is clean, well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
