Hotel Cartagena Plaza
The service at this hotel was excellent, and the location is perfect—just a short walk from great restaurants and local attractions. The only downside was that the elevator got stuck once, and despite pressing the emergency call button, there was no immediate response. We had to wait a few minutes before staff came to assist. However, this minor issue didn’t take away from the overall great experience. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the value for money was outstanding. I’d definitely stay here again.

Staying at the Sonesta Hotel Cartagena was a fantastic experience. While it's located near Las Américas, it's not right next to it—still, walking distance is manageable and convenient. The hotel has a supermarket right across the street, which is super handy for grabbing essentials. The view from the room is absolutely stunning, with beautiful glimpses of the sea and the city skyline—perfect for sunrise or sunset moments. Cleanliness is top-notch; every corner felt spotless, and the staff clearly takes pride in maintaining high standards. It’s rare to find such a well-maintained hotel in this area. Arriving at Hotel Casa la Tablada, Miguel greeted us with genuine warmth—right from the start, it felt like home. For the price we paid, this place delivers outstanding value. Honestly, if we’d paid significantly more elsewhere, I’m not sure we’d have rated it higher. The location is unbeatable, the rooms are spotless, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly throughout our stay. That said, the pool is quite small, and some of the rooms and rooftop area show signs of wear—likely due to the humid climate taking a toll on furnishings. Still, these minor drawbacks don’t overshadow the overall quality. We’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it to fellow travelers looking for a reliable, well-located option in Cartagena.

The building is perfectly located—just steps from the beach, with shops and restaurants nearby. Security is excellent, with a guard on duty 24/7 at the entrance. But that’s where the positives end. The apartment we stayed in was outdated and didn’t match the photos advertised online. It felt poorly cleaned—some areas even looked dirty. Furniture was wobbly or broken, and the kitchen supplies were shockingly minimal: only six glasses for an eight-person unit, barely any cutlery, no toilet paper, no dishcloth, no drying towel, and no coffee maker. Two out of three showers provided only cold water throughout the entire week—very uncomfortable. To top it off, no luggage storage was offered at reception, and the host didn’t suggest any alternative solutions when we arrived with all our bags, our return flight not until late afternoon. We ended up waiting in the lobby, stressed and carrying everything ourselves. Worst of all, we were given just one key for the whole group of eight people, with no explanation other than being told to call each other if needed. After paying 870 euros for the week, the value-for-money ratio is seriously disappointing. This experience falls far short of what you’d expect. There are definitely better options available elsewhere.

The property was clean, well-maintained, and had a lovely tropical vibe. Mauricio’s hospitality truly stood out—he was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. The only minor issue was the mattress being a bit too firm for our comfort, which slightly affected our sleep quality. However, that didn’t take away from the excellent experience. Every other detail was spot-on, and the value for money was outstanding. I’d definitely book again and highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in Cartagena.

The location is in a quiet, safe neighborhood, just a 15-minute walk from grocery stores, restaurants, and essential services—perfect for daily convenience. Daily housekeeping is done with care and professionalism, and Solène, the cleaning staff, is incredibly responsive and genuinely dedicated to meeting our needs. We love being able to cook on-site—the kitchen is fully equipped with everything we need. The bedding and towels smell fresh, and hot water is available 24/7—no compromises there. With three air conditioners that run quietly and effectively, plus excellent sound insulation, the space stays cool and peaceful even during warmer hours.
