She’s also an excellent local guide, offering great tips on where to go and what to see. Down-to-earth, warm-hearted, and genuinely motherly, she made us feel right at home. The house itself is fantastic—five well-maintained rooms, though the 'king' bed was actually two twin beds pushed together (minor detail, but worth noting). There’s a pool and a hot tub; the pool water was cool, which felt refreshing after a long day in the sun. The jacuzzi didn’t heat up fully during our stay, but it was still pleasantly warm and perfect for unwinding under the tropical sky.
