The kitchenette is fully equipped, so cooking a quick meal was easy and convenient. Small touches like fresh apples and cookies at check-in made the experience feel welcoming. The location is a bit tricky to find—right next to DR HEAD on Novy Arbat Street—but the hotel sends a photo of the entrance in advance, which helped us locate it without stress. Note that the front desk is on the 20th floor and not always staffed, so you’ll need to call ahead if you need assistance. While it’s a 10-minute walk from the nearest metro, getting to the Kremlin turned out to be even faster on foot—just 10 minutes to the ticket office, which we found surprisingly easy despite being confused at first. Overall, this place offers great value, a quiet atmosphere, and excellent access to Moscow’s top sights. Perfect for travelers who want comfort, convenience, and a home-like stay.

Wellion Smolensky Hotel
We chose Wellion Smolensky Hotel in Moscow to celebrate my birthday, and it turned out to be a perfect choice. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city, yet surprisingly quiet. Just around the corner is the lively Arbat Street and Smolensky Boulevard, but once you step into the room, with windows facing the inner courtyard, the peace is almost surreal. Despite being fully booked during June holidays, we didn’t meet another guest throughout our five-day stay—proof of excellent sound insulation. The rooms are beautifully designed with unique style: spacious beds, large TVs, tea-making sets (with tea, coffee, and sugar), and an impressively large bathroom stocked with all essentials—including a hairdryer with a styling nozzle for those who care. Bed linens are changed every two days, towels daily, and housekeeping is top-notch. What truly stands out are the front desk staff—the warm and welcoming Irina greeted us with a smile, making us feel right at home. We were even lucky enough to check out during her shift, which added a personal touch. Huge thanks to everyone working at the hotel. One minor note: breakfast options are limited. There’s no on-site kitchen or dining area, so choices are minimal—just two porridge varieties, pancakes (mushroom or apple), cottage cheese cakes, and a baked dish per person. Tea or coffee only. It’s sufficient for a woman, but not filling enough for men. Luckily, there are countless dining spots nearby—just a short walk away is Arbatsky Bazar, a fantastic restaurant where dishes cost just 300 rubles each. You can book a table or order delivery easily. In summary, this is a wonderful hotel with an ideal location, exceptional service, and a peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommended.
