Tuakaza Exclusive Boutique Lodge
Matteo is an exceptional host—warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. The lodge itself is a true gem, combining stunning design with an unbeatable location. What stood out most was the serene, homely atmosphere—it felt less like a guesthouse and more like staying in a private luxury home. The views of Pedra da Gavea and São Conrado are absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. What an amazing weekend getaway! From check-in to checkout, everything was perfect. The apartment is beautifully designed, spotless, and equipped with all the essentials you'd want for a comfortable stay. It's located in a fantastic area—just a short walk from beaches, restaurants, and local attractions. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, making our experience even more enjoyable. The location is convenient, and the price-to-quality ratio is unbeatable. I’d definitely return and recommend this place to anyone visiting Rio—it truly made our trip unforgettable!

Unfortunately, my experience was quite negative due to the lack of signage and lighting in the backyard, making the area extremely unsafe for elderly guests and children. I didn’t stay overnight—I only booked a day-use option through the platform for my birthday celebration and that of a close friend. As shown in photo 20, there’s a gap beside the staircase leading down to the yard, which becomes completely invisible at night because there’s no lighting in the area. While descending the stairs, I tripped over the gap and hit my head on a stone, resulting in six stitches above my eyebrow. To clarify—no alcohol was consumed during this incident. This could have easily turned into a much more serious accident. I reported the issue to the couple managing the booking, but they showed no intention to address or fix the hazard. Aside from that, there’s nothing else to comment on since I didn’t actually stay overnight. My only warning to future guests: this property is not recommended for families with young children or older adults due to the significant safety risks.

Staying at MC Flats Ipanema Beach Star was an absolute delight. The apartment is spacious and perfectly located in the heart of Ipanema—just a short walk to the beach, with a vibrant mix of restaurants, cafes, and local shops right outside the door. I loved how close it was to supermarkets, making grocery runs super convenient. The daily housekeeping service kept everything spotless throughout my stay, and the kitchen had all the essentials I needed for simple meals. Clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped—it felt like home. If you're looking for comfort, convenience, and a great location in Rio, this place is a top choice.

The building staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. From check-in to checkout, they made sure everything ran smoothly and went the extra mile to assist us. The view from the bar is absolutely stunning—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the night sky over Rio. It’s peaceful yet lively, making it easy to strike up conversations and make new friends. Their knowledge of the city made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. We felt truly cared for throughout our visit, and we couldn’t recommend them more highly. If we ever return to Rio, we’d choose them without hesitation.
