This place is absolutely my top pick in Ipanema! The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming, a perfect escape from the fast-paced city life. The staff, especially Pedro and the team at reception, were incredibly helpful and friendly—they went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. The garden is serene and beautifully maintained, offering a quiet retreat right in the heart of the neighborhood. My room was clean, cozy, and well-appointed, making it a true home away from home. Every detail reflects care and attention. If you're visiting Rio, this hostel is a must-stay—truly deserving of a 10/10. I’ll definitely be back!

The stay was absolutely fantastic, and the hostel’s location is unbeatable—just a short walk from Ipanema Beach with tons of restaurants, cafes, and shops nearby. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. My only minor concern was the wristband used for check-in—it’s a bit noticeable, and in tourist-heavy areas, standing out like that can make you more vulnerable to scams or overcharging. I’ve experienced this firsthand in Salvador, so it’s not just a hypothetical worry. That said, everything else was top-notch: cleanliness, comfort, and overall vibe made this an excellent choice. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Rio.

Unfortunately, my experience was quite negative due to the lack of signage and lighting in the backyard, making the area extremely unsafe for elderly guests and children. I didn’t stay overnight—I only booked a day-use option through the platform for my birthday celebration and that of a close friend. As shown in photo 20, there’s a gap beside the staircase leading down to the yard, which becomes completely invisible at night because there’s no lighting in the area. While descending the stairs, I tripped over the gap and hit my head on a stone, resulting in six stitches above my eyebrow. To clarify—no alcohol was consumed during this incident. This could have easily turned into a much more serious accident. I reported the issue to the couple managing the booking, but they showed no intention to address or fix the hazard. Aside from that, there’s nothing else to comment on since I didn’t actually stay overnight. My only warning to future guests: this property is not recommended for families with young children or older adults due to the significant safety risks.

Their knowledge of the city made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. We felt truly cared for throughout our visit, and we couldn’t recommend them more highly.
