Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Squid Game: The Experience

The Bowery Hotel is a top choice located just a 10-minute walk from the Squid Game Experience venue. Its industrial-chic design and artistic vibe align perfectly with the game’s aesthetic. Nearby, The Standard, High Line offers stylish accommodations with excellent access to the Hudson River Greenway and Manhattan skyline views. Both hotels provide 24-hour concierge services to assist with ticket bookings and itinerary planning.

Unique feature: Request a themed room upon check-in—some rooms are styled in red, white, and black, mirroring the iconic game set, delivering an immersive, adrenaline-pumping atmosphere for fans.

Take the MTA subway to 14th Street–Union Square Station, transfer to the L train, and exit at West 49th Street—a 5-minute walk to the experience venue. The journey takes about 25 minutes and costs only $2.75. For convenience, use Uber or Lyft, which take around 15 minutes and cost $20–30, offering door-to-door service.

Tip: The venue has a dedicated parking lot, but reservations are required—especially on weekends when demand is high. Arrive at least one hour early to complete check-in and attend the opening briefing.

Must-try activities include the Red Fabric Hall, where visitors walk through a claustrophobic red corridor evoking intense psychological pressure; the Glass Bridge Challenge, a timed obstacle course across transparent panels mimicking the life-or-death stakes of the show; and the Tug-of-War Battle, a team-based competition where winners receive limited-edition collectibles.

Each activity features professional narration, dynamic sound effects, and real-time lighting to maximize immersion. There’s also a photo booth zone with oversized props and costume rentals for social media-worthy snapshots. All experiences are safety-tested, with trained staff and emergency personnel on-site throughout.

The Squid Game Experience is not recommended for children under 12 due to intense atmospheres, sudden loud sounds, and simulated life-or-death scenarios that may cause anxiety. Designated adult-only zones exist, and a family-friendly version of the tour is available, though core interactive challenges remain high-stress.

Parents can accompany kids through the exhibition area, exploring behind-the-scenes props and production art. The merchandise shop offers official collectibles ideal for younger fans. On-site amenities include rest areas and child-sized seating for comfort.

Note: The experience lasts about 90 minutes. We recommend teens aged 13 and above participate independently to fully engage with the immersive narrative.

The venue features an official licensed merchandise store offering exclusive items such as yellow hoodies, red-white-black masks, replica game props (e.g., balls, marking pens), and character pins. All products are co-designed by Netflix and authorized partners, ensuring authenticity and quality.

The store accepts credit cards and digital payments, and provides global shipping for international visitors. Limited-edition items come with anti-counterfeit tags and unique serial numbers, enhancing collectibility.

Tip: The yellow hoodie is limited to 100 pieces per day—sold out quickly. Arrive early to secure your favorite keepsake.

The Squid Game Experience operates every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with last entry at 6:30 PM. Special sessions are added during holidays and peak seasons—bookings recommended via the official website.

Located in Manhattan’s West Side, near Times Square, the venue offers easy access via subway and ride-share. Facilities include wheelchair-accessible entrances and free wheelchair rentals for guests with mobility needs.

Note: Each session limits attendance to 80 people. Reserve tickets at least 24 hours in advance to guarantee availability.

The Standard High Line is a top choice, offering sleek design and breathtaking city skyline views just a 10-minute walk from the Squid Game Experience. Its rooftop bar and art-filled lobby create a vibrant urban atmosphere perfect for post-attraction relaxation. The hotel also provides free electric scooter rentals, making it easy to explore nearby attractions like the High Line and Meatpacking District.

For a more budget-friendly yet stylish option, consider Moxy Manhattan Downtown, known for its bold neon-inspired interiors that echo the show’s aesthetic. Located in Lower Manhattan, it’s ideal for fans of pop culture and immersive experiences. Both properties offer excellent transit access to major NYC landmarks, ensuring convenience and comfort after a thrilling game-themed adventure.

The Squid Game Experience is located in Manhattan’s West Side, near the High Line and Meatpacking District, making it highly accessible by public transit. Take the A, C, E, or L train to 14th Street–Union Square or 125th Street–Broadway, then walk about 10–15 minutes. Multiple bus lines including M1, M2, M3, and M4 run nearby, accepting both MetroCard and contactless payments like Apple Pay and Google Pay.

On-site, bike-sharing stations (Citi Bike) are available for quick access from surrounding neighborhoods. Additionally, dedicated shuttle buses operate on weekends and holidays, providing direct transfers for groups and families—great for reducing travel stress and improving overall experience flow. Use apps like Google Maps or NYC Subway App for real-time updates and route planning.

After the Squid Game Experience, visit Hudson Yards Food Hall, home to over 20 international eateries. Highlights include Bunji Ramen, famous for rich pork broth and a special red chili oil inspired by the show’s iconic look. Nearby Sushi Katsuo at Chelsea Market offers limited-edition "Game Card"-themed sushi platters, while Lorimer Coffee serves a signature orange drink reminiscent of the show’s memorable prop.

All venues accept contactless payments, and many feature outdoor seating areas, perfect for relaxing and reflecting on your intense gameplay. The blend of Korean, Japanese, and American flavors creates a uniquely immersive culinary journey that complements the overall experience.

The Squid Game Experience features intense competition scenarios and simulated survival challenges with implied violence and psychological tension, making it unsuitable for young children. Official guidelines recommend a minimum age of 16, with parental supervision required. Some scenes—like the glass bridge and tug-of-war—may cause fear or anxiety in younger participants.

For family-friendly alternatives, consider the VR Mode, which includes an age-appropriate version with child-safe content and a family-friendly setting suitable for ages 8 and up. Nearby interactive galleries also offer non-competitive activities such as photo ops with character costumes and exhibit displays of props—ideal for shared, low-pressure family exploration.

Yes! Head to the High Line’s elevated garden platform, where the glass walls and skyline backdrop create a perfect shot resembling the show’s iconic green building. Along the path, you’ll find giant red circle sculptures and game card-inspired light installations, blending reality with fictional elements.

Another must-visit is the Cinnamon Hill Monument (formerly Five Finger Hill), now transformed into an immersive light art installation. Every evening at 7 PM, it hosts a dynamic projection show reenacting key scenes from the series. On-site, professional photographers offer cinematic-style portrait sessions with themed props, allowing visitors to instantly download high-quality digital keepsakes.

InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel

Staying at the InterContinental New York Barclay was one of the best decisions I made for my trip to NYC. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the Financial District, making it super convenient for business meetings, dining, and exploring nearby attractions. The hotel itself has a sophisticated, timeless design that feels both luxurious and welcoming. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was top-notch, and the room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. What really stood out was the value—this place offers a high-end experience without the premium price tag. If you're looking for comfort, convenience, and a great vibe in Manhattan, this hotel is an absolute must-try. Highly recommend for both business travelers and tourists alike.

InterContinental New York Times Square

Staying right in the heart of Manhattan, just steps away from Times Square, makes this hotel an unbeatable choice for travelers who want to be at the pulse of the city. The location is perfect—everything from major attractions to restaurants and shopping is within walking distance. The room was clean and well-maintained, though it does have a bit of vintage charm with its older furnishings. Still, the overall experience was excellent for the price point. It’s a great balance of comfort, convenience, and value—especially if you’re looking for a central base without breaking the bank. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting to soak up the energy of NYC without overspending.

Even Hotel New York - Midtown East

New York definitely comes with a high price tag—just grabbing a quick bite near the hotel can cost you $30 or more. But Even Hotel New York - Midtown East makes up for it with its unbeatable location. Walking to Times Square or Broadway takes under 15 minutes, and the city lights at night are absolutely stunning. The towering skyscrapers and iconic smokestacks lining the streets give the whole area a unique, energetic vibe. Despite the pricey surroundings, this hotel offers great value and comfort. I was genuinely impressed by the convenience and atmosphere. If I ever return to New York, I’d definitely choose this hotel again.

Crowne Plaza HY36 Midtown Manhattan

Located right in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, this hotel sits on the bustling corner of 8th Avenue and West 34th Street—perfect for exploring iconic spots like the Empire State Building and Macy’s just a short walk away. The neighborhood pulses with authentic New York energy: diverse crowds, street smells (yes, including some unforgettable ones), occasional sirens, but surprisingly quiet at night. By morning, the streets are spotless—almost surreal. Public transit is super convenient, with train and bus stations nearby. There’s a great little eatery called Essen right across the street—affordable and tasty. Check-in and check-out are smooth, and although the lobby is compact, it’s functional. I actually stayed there after checkout to wait for my next connection, and no one minded. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The bed is high and very soft—excellent for a good night’s sleep. However, there are no slippers, toothbrushes, or a kettle. Just a capsule coffee machine that took me a while to figure out. No purified water available, though you can get free tap water from the 6th floor—though I didn’t go up due to the hassle, and honestly, I wasn’t sure if it was even filtered. The duvet was simply tucked between two fitted sheets instead of using a duvet cover—common practice here, apparently. Overall, the location, value, and convenience more than make up for the minor omissions. If you’re looking to live like a local in NYC, this is a solid choice.

This hotel is absolutely incredible! The rooms are spacious and impeccably clean, but what truly stands out is the location—perfectly situated for exploring the city while still enjoying a peaceful atmosphere. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to this time because my stay was nothing short of amazing. I walked everywhere I needed to go, yet the neighborhood remained calm and relaxing—just what I was looking for. Even without booking a specific room type, I was treated to stunning views of the Empire State Building from my large windows. The staff went above and beyond with their warm hospitality, and I loved the complimentary wine hour in the evening and morning tea service. It’s rare to find such a perfect balance of convenience, comfort, and charm. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting New York—this is a must-stay.

70 Park Avenue Hotel

The staff at the front desk and the bellman were incredibly friendly and attentive—truly made our stay feel special. The room was cleaned daily and always left spotless and neat, which we really appreciated. Our only minor suggestion is that towels and linens were changed a bit too frequently. We’d love to see a more eco-conscious approach, like offering linen changes only upon request, which would be both sustainable and respectful of guest preferences. Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations in comfort, cleanliness, and service. It’s a great location with excellent value, and we’d definitely return.

The Manhattan at Times Square

Staying at The Manhattan at Times Square was an absolute highlight of my trip to New York City. Located right on Seventh Avenue in the heart of Times Square, it's just a 4-minute walk from the subway station—making every part of the city easily accessible. I was only a short stroll away from Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Broadway theaters, and the Hudson River waterfront. The location alone makes this hotel a top choice for travelers who want convenience without breaking the bank. While the building does feel a bit dated in terms of decor, the cleanliness, staff service, and overall value more than make up for it. It’s clear that comfort and practicality are prioritized here. If you're looking for a no-fuss, well-located, and affordable stay in NYC with easy access to everything, this is definitely worth considering. I’d happily book again.
