Especially grateful to the manager, Wilmo, who personally remembered our breakfast preferences—my husband doesn’t like eggs cooked the usual way, and Wilmo made sure they were prepared just right. That kind of thoughtful service makes all the difference. You can tell everyone here genuinely wants you to have a great stay. It’s not just about comfort—it’s about feeling welcomed and valued. The hotel is clean and well-maintained, with a convenient location just a short walk from public transit, making it easy to explore Cape Town. However, I did notice that prices were significantly higher during a major event happening at the time—definitely not budget-friendly. That said, if you're visiting outside of peak event periods, this hotel offers great value for its location and comfort. It's an excellent choice for travelers who want a quiet, comfortable stay with easy access to the city’s attractions.

We recently traveled to Cape Town from Australia with a group of 18 people and stayed at Villa Garda for 15 nights, from March 14 to March 29. From the moment we started planning, Elias, the manager, was incredibly responsive and easy to work with—no stress at all. The villa matched exactly what was described on the platform: clean, well-maintained, and full of character. Each room was comfortable, and the daily breakfast was fresh and satisfying. What really stood out was the variety of shared spaces—perfect for relaxing, chatting, or just unwinding after a busy day. The location in Mowbray was ideal: close to downtown, shopping areas, restaurants, and even within reach of townships where our group participated in meaningful cultural experiences. We felt safe throughout our stay, which was a big plus. Elias and his wife went above and beyond by offering thoughtful recommendations for local dining and activities. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality and attention to detail. I’ve already booked again for 2026 and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Cape Town—whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with a large group like us.

This place was the worst accommodation I've ever experienced. The rooms were nothing like the photos online—tiny and poorly designed, with beds that looked like they came straight out of a school dorm. The showers were especially disappointing, feeling more like prison facilities than anything meant for comfort. The overall vibe wasn't suitable for a relaxing getaway, and the lack of storage space made packing a real hassle. Even though it was cheap, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone under any circumstances. It’s not worth the money or the stress.

Whenever I had a question, Jenny was always happy to help, making us feel safe and welcomed throughout our stay. There are plenty of great restaurants, cozy cafes, and shops within walking distance, and the V&A Waterfront is just a short ride away. We even met other guests during our visit, and everyone shared a warm, friendly vibe. This is an exceptional value-for-money guest house, and I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended!
