Staying at Pullman Lyon was an absolute highlight of my trip to Lyon. The location couldn’t be better—right across from the train station, just turn left after exiting and there it is. Super convenient for getting around the city. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly; one even offered me a map of Lyon and marked out recommended spots based on what I wanted to see—big shoutout to Elise, who truly went above and beyond with her helpfulness. The room was clean, well-maintained, and spotless—exactly what you want after a long journey. Breakfast was served in the ground-floor restaurant, which has a bright, open atmosphere and great natural lighting. I had my first-ever experience with a croissant sandwiched with strawberry jam and hoisin sauce—unexpected but surprisingly delicious! There was a little mix-up with my tea order: I asked for a cup of black tea, but the server handed me a tea bag instead. By the time I realized it, I’d already opened it—so I ended up drinking it anyway, which made for a funny moment. It didn’t ruin the experience at all—it actually added a touch of charm. Overall, this hotel delivered excellent service, comfort, and a memorable stay. Highly recommend!

Staying at Mercure Lyon Centre - Gare Part-Dieu was an excellent experience from start to finish. We booked a triple room with one double bed and one single bed—plenty of space, and the bedding was super comfortable, making for a restful night's sleep. The room came equipped with a mini-fridge, complimentary bottled water, instant coffee, and tea bags—perfect for early mornings without needing to go out. The TV was large and had excellent picture quality, great for relaxing after a long day. Cleanliness was top-notch—everything felt spotless and well-maintained. What really stood out was the toiletries: Clarins, a well-known French brand! It added a nice touch of luxury. The bathroom was smartly designed with a dry-wet separation—shower and toilet in separate areas, which made everything much more convenient and hygienic. Location-wise, it’s literally just steps away from the train station. You can walk straight out and be there in under two minutes—but watch your direction, as the station complex can be confusing. Despite being right next to a busy railway hub, the soundproofing is impressive. Double-glazed windows on two layers (four panes total) kept outside noise completely out, so the room stayed quiet and peaceful. The staff were friendly and helpful—there was even a red candy at the front desk, which turned out to be a local specialty. I later tried a pastry containing that same ingredient, and it was delicious! Also, luggage storage was super easy. All in all, this hotel offers fantastic value, great comfort, and unbeatable convenience—definitely a place I’d recommend and stay at again.

This hotel completely exceeded my expectations! The exterior has a charming old-world French aesthetic, while the interior is fresh and modern—really stylish. I loved that the lobby lounge offers snacks 24/7, which was super convenient, especially with kids in tow. My child had an upset stomach for two days, and we stayed in the hotel for meals—food quality was consistently excellent, so we felt safe and relaxed. The bedding is made of linen, incredibly comfortable, and I slept like a baby. The river-view room is breathtaking—the view of the hilltop church on Fourvière is simply stunning, especially at sunset. Plus, if you need to check out late, it’s easy to arrange with a small fee. Great flexibility, fantastic value, and I’d definitely stay here again.
