This stay at Ibis Budget Lyon Centre - Gare Part-Dieu was hands down the highlight of my trip! The hotel feels brand new—especially the unique vertical bunk beds, which are a fun twist and surprisingly spacious. The beds themselves are larger than expected, making for a comfortable night’s sleep. The bathroom is thoughtfully designed with three separate zones, including a perfect dry/wet separation that really elevates the experience. Cleanliness? Absolutely top-notch—no dust anywhere, even on top of furniture, which speaks volumes about their standards. Location-wise, it’s just a 3-minute walk to the train station, and right next door is a shopping complex with a two-level Carrefour, so everything you need is within reach. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, and they offered free drinks and croissants—those fizzy waters were refreshing! Breakfast was a real winner: fresh croissants, baguettes, a wide variety of breads (some familiar, others new), cheeses, sausages, milk, juices, and even the option to cook your own eggs—flavor was solid across the board. Overall, this place delivers excellent value, great convenience, and genuine hospitality. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!
