Absolutely loved my stay at Canal Grande! The staff went above and beyond—friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. They even arranged a porter to carry my luggage across the bridges to the train station, which was such a relief after a long day of travel. The hotel is perfectly located just a 10-minute walk from the train station, passing through charming old Venice streets and crossing a few picturesque bridges—great for soaking in the atmosphere. Breakfast was outstanding: fresh, plentiful, and delicious. I also took advantage of the free tour to Murano to see authentic glassblowing—an unforgettable cultural experience. That said, be aware there’s no elevator—three flights of stairs to reach the unit, so if you’re sensitive to climbing or traveling with heavy luggage, it might be a consideration. One thing I’d strongly advise: avoid the nearby restaurant called Rosa Rossa. The owner is extremely unfriendly and made our dining experience unpleasant. Overall, though, the location, ambiance, and value for money were outstanding. We’d absolutely stay here again on our next visit to Venice.
