It felt like home, yet still luxurious and refreshing. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. It’s not just a reception area—it doubles as a spacious, relaxed social hub and a functional workspace, perfect for unwinding or getting some work done. I stayed in the standard queen room (about 25 sqm), which was thoughtfully laid out with clear zoning. Two glass doors separate the wet and dry areas—this layout feels more like a high-end apartment than a typical hotel room, making it ideal for longer stays. The bathroom has generous space, so you’re never cramped when brushing your teeth or using the toilet. The bedroom is spacious enough for solo travelers, though two people might feel slightly snug. As expected from Hong Kong hotels, space efficiency is masterfully executed. The mini-fridge and minibar are cleverly hidden within built-in cabinets—functional without compromising aesthetics. Bottled water comes in refillable glass containers, a nice eco-friendly touch. The TV supports screen mirroring, though there’s no built-in speaker system. Bedding is top-notch—extremely comfortable and inviting for a good night’s sleep. One small note: toothbrushes require an extra fee, which is common but worth mentioning. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city, with excellent access to transit and nearby attractions. Noise insulation is surprisingly effective, so street sounds don’t carry into the room. The overall design is modern and minimalist, with solid materials and well-considered furniture. While the aesthetic leans more toward practicality than bold design flair, that’s not necessarily a bad thing—it makes the space feel lived-in and authentic. All things considered, if I’m visiting Hong Kong again and want a no-brainer choice that delivers comfort, smart layout, and convenience, this hotel would be my go-to pick.

The room size of 23 square meters is surprisingly generous—plenty of space for comfort and convenience. What really stands out is the unbeatable location: right outside the hotel, you have access to tram stops and bus stations, making it super easy to get around town. For travelers heading to the airport, the A11 bus stop is just across the street, with buses running every 20 minutes—just a 30-minute ride to the airport. Whether you're arriving with heavy luggage or just want a stress-free journey, this convenience is priceless. If you value location, ease of transit, and smart design in a city where space is tight, this hotel delivers on all fronts.

Empire Hotel Hong Kong－Wan Chai

The hotel sits right in the heart of the holiday magic: just steps away from Lido Street, a festive hotspot perfect for Christmas photo ops. Hop on the tram for a few stops and you’ll be in Central, where you can admire the massive Christmas tree beside the Mandarin Oriental—glow-in-the-dark lights create a dreamy atmosphere that’s picture-perfect. Great for families with kids, the hotel’s stylish design and welcoming vibe make it ideal for a cozy getaway. Just note that rates spike during peak Christmas weekends, but considering the convenience and charm, it’s still well worth it.
