This was my second stay in Sydney, and once again I chose this hotel — and I’m so glad I did. Even though the rooms aren’t large, they’re thoughtfully designed with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is unbeatable: just a 10-minute walk to Darling Harbour, 15 minutes to QVB, and about 20 minutes on foot to the Sydney Opera House. Everything is within easy reach, whether you’re walking or hopping on the train nearby. The area is lively, full of great cafes and shops, and it feels safe and convenient. It’s one of those places where you realize that even small spaces can offer big value. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Sydney.

The kitchen and dining area are fully equipped with everything you’d need for cooking, and the staff do regular cleaning, which shows how much care they put into maintaining the space. 24/7 front desk service with friendly, helpful staff who go the extra mile to assist with anything from travel tips to booking local tours. Security is impressive too—access is card-controlled, which gives peace of mind. I actually had a funny moment: I went up from the 2nd floor to the 4th to do laundry, took the stairs down to ground level, but couldn’t re-enter because the card didn’t work. Ended up walking all the way around through the back door and back in—turns out the access system restricts movement between floors unless you’re on the right level! It was a small hiccup, but proof that their security system is thorough. Even during intense heatwaves without air conditioning, the temperature remained comfortable—never too hot or too cold. Common areas were spotless, with staff cleaning multiple times a day. You’d always see them sweeping, mopping, or wiping down surfaces, which made the hostel feel incredibly hygienic and well-maintained. The highlight? The Secret Garden. It’s not just a garden—it’s a sanctuary. Whether I was having breakfast, reading a book, or just relaxing, this peaceful outdoor space made hostel living enjoyable and bearable. The kitchen is fully equipped with free tea and coffee, microwaves, toasters, and more. The only downside? A few stoves didn’t work, but that’s a minor issue considering how well the rest of the kitchen is kept. Showers have been upgraded recently—new ones with strong water pressure—so I highly recommend using the ones near the staircases instead of those by the garden. They’re clean, fresh, and satisfying. Staff are friendly, professional, and always willing to help with local tips or activity suggestions. What really stood out compared to other hostels? The clear expectations around hygiene and cleanliness. They don’t hesitate to kindly remind guests to tidy up their space—always in a respectful, non-confrontational way. That kind of accountability makes a huge difference. This hostel isn’t just good—it’s one of the best I’ve ever stayed at across many cities. Highly recommended.

The only downside was when I returned from an outing, I found my room had been changed without my consent. Stayed for 7 nights at Space Q Capsule Hotel and was really impressed with the overall experience. The location is excellent—super convenient for getting around Sydney, with easy access to public transit and major attractions. The capsule rooms are compact but well-designed, offering a comfortable and peaceful sleep environment. Cleanliness and quietness were top-notch. The only minor downside was that towels weren't provided, so it would be great if that could be added as a standard amenity. Despite that, the value for money is outstanding, and I’d definitely stay here again.
