We actually enjoyed watching planes approach the airport—it wasn’t noisy at all, and it became a fun little attraction. One downside is the sewage area located near the center of the property. It’s well hidden by lush greenery, so it’s not immediately obvious, but if you’re close by, the smell can be unpleasant. Still, it only affects those in immediate proximity. Overall, Rhodes is a beautiful island—we highly recommend visiting the Old Town, Lindos, and the Filerimos mountain and monastery for a memorable trip.
