Public transit is super convenient: buses 4 and 7 run right nearby, making downtown access effortless. For airport trips, the SL1 Silver Line takes about 20 minutes with no transfers—perfect for early flights or late arrivals. The room itself was spacious and incredibly comfortable, with thoughtful touches like a coffee maker and mini-fridge—ideal for those who want to brew their own morning coffee. The air conditioning worked flawlessly, maintaining a perfect temperature with minimal noise, so sleep wasn’t disturbed at all. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient—two of them were Asian, though they didn’t speak much Chinese, but their warmth made up for it. One standout moment was meeting the baggage handler—a Black gentleman with Chinese heritage (his dad’s from China)—who actually said "Thank you" in Mandarin! His kind demeanor really stood out. Breakfast was a highlight: complimentary and well-rounded, offering both hot and cold options. I enjoyed the scrambled eggs, bacon, meatloaf, and even got creative making my own Mexican-style burritos. Sweet treats included fresh bread, donuts, muffins, and homemade pancakes—delicious and satisfying. Overall, this hotel delivers exceptional value, comfort, and hospitality. Definitely planning to come back.

Staying at Moxy Boston Downtown was a great experience, especially since it’s right in the heart of downtown Boston, just steps away from Boston Common and the starting point of the Freedom Trail. The room was compact but well-designed; I easily managed to unpack two 20-inch suitcases, and everything was spotless. I booked a 3-night stay through a platform, but upon check-in, I had to pay an additional $122 in fees and taxes. However, the front desk generously gave me three $35 credit vouchers that could be used for breakfast (my booking didn’t include breakfast), plus drinks, fruits, and snacks. No change is given if you exceed $35—you just add the extra to your room bill and settle it at checkout. They also handed out two drink vouchers, which added a nice touch. The front desk and breakfast area are on the second floor, and by evening, the space transforms into a lively bar—perfect for winding down after a day of sightseeing. My room faced the street, so there was some noise from traffic and foot traffic, but being near Chinatown means there are plenty of excellent Chinese restaurants within walking distance. Overall, despite the small room and minor noise, the location, vibe, and value make this a solid choice for travelers who want a modern, social hotel experience in downtown Boston.
