The elevator appeared to have been broken for ages, and every vending machine in the common area was non-functional. The bar, which was once a unique selling point, has clearly been closed for a while. Breakfast was repetitive every day — always the same cold cuts with zero variety. On the bright side, the view from the lounge area toward the harbor was genuinely beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful, but that couldn’t make up for the overall lack of quality and upkeep. If we ever return to Hamburg, I’d insist on a better room and would definitely check the condition of facilities beforehand.
